May 5th 2012

 On Saturday, I had planned to go to the playground with Amanda and her little 4 year old brother.I was looking forward to it because he is so funny. He has something to say about everything. So I went to Amanda's house at about 3pm, after about 10 minutes we set off. On our way there, me and Amanda were playing with Harry like holding his hand and lifting him up. It was a funny though because if anyone saw us they would probably think we were a gay couple with a young child. When we got there it wasn't too crowded and we stayed there for a good 2 hours. Harry wanted to go on everything and then these foreign people came in. They looked like a family from like Lithuania. They looked like a funny family because there was like a dad and like 4 sons and one of them was like really fat. We were all over near the basket swing and I said "Hi" to the oldest son as a mess, me and Amanda just started laughing. We started walking over to the kids part of the playground and the oldest son started calling after me. I didn't really acknowledge him but then the family started to follow me and the oldest son said "Miss wait, can I get picture with you" I continued to walk away and me and Amanda were in bits laughing. He eventually caught up with me and gave his phone to his dad and put his arm around me and took my sunglasses off me and put them on him. The dad took about 5 pictures and everyone (me, Amanda and the Lithuanian family) was just laughing. I stood there and took a few pictures and then they left the playground. I couldn't stop laughing and then we left the playground and we sort of followed them :L 




We went back to Amanda's house and we planned on staying in the house and playing games with Harry. Her mam was getting ready to go to the hospital because Amanda's dad got bitten on his bottom by a dog :L Me, Amanda and Harry went out the back garden and Harry was eating pizza and chips but when Amanda wasn't looking, Harry would sneak me a few chips. Me and Harry started feeding their dog which was really fun. After a while we all went inside and played a very short game of "Hide and Seek". Me and Amanda went on the computer and Harry watched the television. A little while later we all went out onto the trampoline and we took loads of pictures of us jumping up in the air. I kept getting electrocuted because of all the static and my hair was sticking up all over the place :L

After about 30 minutes Amanda's parents came home from the hospital and then Amanda's mam said that Sarah (Amanda's older sister) would drive us to McDonald's in Maynooth for something to eat. So me, Amanda, Harry and Sarah drove there and I got chicken nuggets and chips with curry sauce. Sarah also got food to bring home to Amanda's mam and dad. We drove back home and it was about 7 or 8 and me and Amanda wanted to go to Grattan Court, so Sarah dropped us at the top of our estate and then we walked up to Grattan Court eating the last of our food. We hung out there for a while but then we got bored and I had fun riding someone else's bike.

May 4th 2012

Today when I woke up, I didn't really want to go to school, but I was happy to know that it was the last day and I had Monday off as well because of the bank holiday. Today in Biology I started a new topic, structure of a flowering plant, suppose it's a bit interesting but there is so much detail. That was okay but first thing in the morning it was a bit heavy. The rest of the day was grand and went by very smoothly and in Home Ecc we were put into the groups we would be in for the Taste Test. Me and Amanda are with Patricia and Louise, for the class we just talked about what food we would be testing and we cam to a decision of real Milky Way's and ALDI brand milky ways.


When school was over I wanted to go out because the sun was high in the sky. Amanda said she couldn't and Brian didn't want to, so I asked Rachel and she was up for it. 


In the end it was 8pm when me and Rachel finally met up which was a bit late but anyway we would make the most of it. We went over to Katie's house to ask whether she could come out and she said she couldn't. We went into her house after about 15 minutes of talking at her front door. Even though Rachel had to be home in about 1 hour, it felt like we were in Katie's house for about 4 hours. It was really fun. We took loads of pictures and had lots of fun.

May 2nd - 3rd 2012

Today the day went by really fast as usual on a Wednesday because I don't have any of my option subjects on Wednesdays. We had Drama at 9:45 which is always so funny because our teacher Ms. McDonald is so dramatic when she's demonstrating on how we should be acting. The rest of the day went by really fast.


On Thursday, nothing really happened except for we watched a short film in our double Home Ecc class at 2:00 - 3:20. It was all on how most people can't tell the difference between food/ drink. They were doing this test where they had 3 cups and in 2 there was Coca Cola and in 1 there was Pepsi and the people doing the test didn't know which one was which and about 75% couldn't tell the difference. So our teacher Ms. McArdle said that we would be doing a test next week. In our Leaving Cert. Practical pink books, we had to prepare, cook and serve 5 different dishes and on the last part of the book, it was about the Taste Test. 


Last class of the day it was PE. and we were playing badminton. I don't really like doing PE all that much, unless it's something fun. Me, Amanda, Norma and Alex had a net all to ourselves so first it was me and Norma against Amanda and Alex, but then Norma begged me to switch places with her and I didn't mind. But after say 30 seconds I realized why she wanted to switch, Amanda was rubbish :L She couldn't hit the badminton ball thing if she tried and even if she did when I hit it back to her she dropped it. I mean I thought I was bad but after a while we stopped and got a tennis ball and just threw it over the net back and forth to each other, that was funny because Amanda couldn't catch the ball and had to keep running after it. Our PE teacher, Ms. O'Callaghan, was at the other end of the hall but she was laughing and looking to see where the tennis balls were coming from. Amanda and me were in stitches laughing and Amanda accidentally hit the ball towards a Lithuanian girl named Denora and it hit her in the face. She didn't really mind because we were like "SORRY!" 


Me and Amanda were laughing so much, I suggested getting a different ball. I went into the PE storage room where they keep all the balls, bats, and everything they use in PE. I found like a ball that you would use in dodge ball, so I brought a few of them out and gave one to Alex and Norma. Thinking that would be better, I took full advantage of Amanda by throwing the ball higher than her so she had to jump and nearly falling over. Ohh  that day was so funny and even when Ms. O'Callaghan told us to put all the equipment back in the storage room, Amanda slammed the ball on the ground and it went flying like a rocket up to the ceiling, hitting of it and shooting it way back down to the ground. I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my whole life. 

May 1st 2012

Today was a normal day as Tuesdays usually are. I started a new topic in Geography, India. So for my Leaving Cert next year I will have to learn about Ireland, France, Italy. Belgium and India. Great! My teacher makes it really easy to understand things because she explains everything in detail and gives us loads of notes on each topic with diagrams to make it even more easier to understand. The only thing is there is so much information to learn in Geography and everything is so detailed and complicated. I'm trying my best though to listen to everything she says and take notes on everything. The rest of the day went by very slowly and after school me and Amanda usually go to after school ECDL because we are a bit behind in our training but when we went upstairs to the computer room, the teacher who does the ECDL after school; Ms McGrath wasn't there. She is usually there at 4:15 so we waited until like 4:35 and then we just accepted that it wasn't on. Seeing as it was raining I asked my mam could we have a lift home. 

April 30th 2012

Today I had Biology and we were going to check our petri dishes to see if our agar had hardened. Ms. Felle checked them and they still had not hardened even though they were in the fridge for 3 days. So we had to forget about them and just look at another classes petri dishes. Their agar must of hardened within the 5 minutes and they had the whole experiment done, so when we looked at their petri dishes and we could see the yeast colonies already formed over the course of 2 days. We saw loads of pink dots where the yeast was growing.

After little break I had double Home Ecc. My teacher Ms. McArdle said that she was giving us a chance to catch up on our assignments, if we missed any but me and Amanda were in for all of them so we could make what we wanted. Me and Amanda were going to be baking chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cake. I brought in the ingredients for the cookies and Amanda brought in the ingredients for the chocolate cake and for the icing that we were going to put on top of the cake. We had 1hr 20 minutes to prepare and cook the food.                                                    

We  managed to make them in time and they looked very nice and tasty, the cookies didn't really look like cookies but they tasted like them so we were happy with them. We made like 15 cookies and a full cake so we got 7 cookies each and half the cake and we split the last cookie in half and ate it and it was absolutely gorgeous. I think me and Amanda are going to be the best bakers in the world :L 


At 12.40 I had a Geography test, which I wasn't really prepared for because I looked at my notes on Primary and Tertiary Activity in the Paris Region but my teacher Ms. Watson asked us to write about Secondary Activity which I find is always the hardest. I did the test anyway and I tried my best which is all you can do. Seeing as I'm doing Geography at Higher Level, I might see what I get in my Summer Results and if I don't do well I am considering doing Ordinary Level. 

April 28th - 29th 2012

My mam's birthday was yesterday on the 27th of April. She turned 46. Me and my brother Dean (aged 12) did not know what to get her and it's the same every year. My dad took 10euro off us to put towards like a food processor which was like 40euro. She seems to really like because it does like 8 things in 1. My dad also brought her to Blanchardstown and she picked out like tops and shoes and other things that she liked. When I cam home from school on Friday she was all dressed up and I thought that we were going out or something but she pampered herself because it was he birthday. She had a shower, put a colour in her hair put make up on and wore a new top. I saw the effort that she put into doing herself up but if that was me, I would not spend that much time pampering myself, even on my own birthday. Later that night before I went out my dad brought home a Chinese from our favourite take-away; Choys. I had my usual, chicken balls, chips and curry sauce. Truly my favourite Chinese meal ever!

On Saturday 28th, My mam, dad and brother Dean went to Punchestown, but I stayed at home because horse racing is not really my thing so I just told them to go off for the day have fun. I stayed at home and did ironing for hours, then when they cam home like 5 hours later I just went out with Brian and his friends, even though it was cold and rained occasionally we still managed to have fun. His friends are so funny, despite them being like 14 and 15 they know how to make me laugh and I have fun with them. Brian's friends are Lee, Tom, Andy and Craig. Even though I've only known them for like half a year, I like to think of them as my own friends. Everytime I go up to Grattan Court; where Brian and his friends live, we all just go Spar like 2 minutes up the road.  For the rest of the night, we usually just play football or sit on a wall and talk. Brian then walked me home at 10:30.

On Sunday 29th, Me and Brian were going to Liffey Valley to get my dress for Grad night. We were meant to be getting the bus at 2:50 but I hadn't finished my dinner or gotten ready yet and Brian came to my house, so he had to wait for me to finish and get ready, so we were going to get the bus at 3:50 but then my mam said that she and my dad were going to visit my nanny (mam's mother) in the elderly home so they would drop us on the way. That was grand they dropped us right at the door and we went to Boots first because Brian wanted to get some lip balm :L Then we went to New Look and I was nervous because I wasn't really sure if they had the dress because I seen it on the New Look website, so I hoped they had it.I walked into the shop with hopes of them having it in the right colour and my size. I found it! They had this particular dress in all different colours like red, pink, green, blue, purple, white and black. I got a size 6 and 8, because I wasn't really sure. I couldn't get into the 6 :L I tried on the 8 with my purple heels that I brought with me and I looked at myself for ages and took my hair down to see what I would look like on the night. I liked the dress a lot so I bought it. It was only €9.99 so I bought it. I was so happy that I got it, so now all I needed to get was 
tan but I'd get that later on in the week.

After I got the dress, me and Brian went and got a McDonald's. I got the usual; large chicken nugget meal with coke and curry sauce and Brian got like a double cheese burger with a milkshake. We eat up, went to the toilet and went to M&S because Brian wanted to buy cookies. We were waiting at the bus stop for a good 30 minutes and when we were on the bus, it was so packed, me and Brian we weren't even sitting beside each other. A few minutes later my dad called Brian's phone asking where were we. My mam and dad were in Liffey Valley and were offering us a lift home. We decided to stay on the bus and when we were coming up to Celbridge me and Brian ended up sitting beside each other and it was starting to rain. When we got off he bus we went to my house because I left my phone at home and I was going to get an umbrella. My dad gave me and Brian a lift up to Grattan Court and even though it was raining out we still met up with Brian's friends. After a while when everyone was getting fed up of being wet out in the rain. We ended up going into Brian's house. We scrolled through the music channels for a bit and Brian's friends were all commenting on how girls looked in their music videos like Nicole Sherzhinger and Jessie J. We then watched like a nature programme which was like fish of the sea and how there are so many that are venomous and I remember there was a jellyfish that was so deadly it could kill a human, but it was the size as a fingernail. I got a lift home by my dad at 10:00.

April 27th 2012

Today I had double Biology which I was looking forward because we were doing an experiment. Amanda is my partner for Biology and Home Ecc and I love it because she is so funny and we don't even get the experiments done properly because we mess so much. We made fungus! Well we didn't get the whole thing done because it took so long to make the agar which is a substance that is needed for living things to grow. It stunk like a pigpen and we were making it which seemed like forever and we put this liquid substance into an petri dish and into the fridge to harden which Ms. Felle (our new teacher because Ms. Kirrane is on maternity leave) would take 5 minutes. 15-20 minutes later while we were writing up the experiment, she checked them and they didn't harden so we had to leave them in the fridge over the weekend and then surely they would have hardened. The rest of the day followed as usual very fast.


When the bell rang at 3:20 I sighed with relief as another weekend was here. I love the thought of waking up later than usual and just vegging out in my bed watching TV until I receive a text saying "go on Facebook". Anyway I got home, got some food and watched TV will dinner and then I went out to meet up with Brian and we hung out up in his garden for a while and he started lifting me in all different ways, didn't know he was that strong. It was funny though, after a while we started walking down towards Tesco, but we walked past like 100 guys and they started shouting "GO ON CHOPPER!!" We just walked past them and I ran into some of my friends and they started like wolf whistling at us. I felt so embarrassed but  just walked past them and into Tesco, Brian knows this but everytime we go into Tesco I have to buy a little carton of milk for like 50 cent. I love milk, it's good for you :)  This time walking past all those people I felt a bit more confident and just giggled with Brian till they were out of sight. We stayed out for a bit longer and just messed about on the road and again he started lifting me up again, I think he's getting the hint that I like it. He walked me home at about 10:30, he's doing that a lot lately, walking me home even though I tell him I'm fine he'd be like "no I want to make sure you're safe" and I'd be like "Ahwwwwww" I love him so much and everytime he leaves my door he always says "Night night Sweetheart" which is the name of our song <3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye7LZuZiXSY
