October 2nd 2012

Today when I went into school, I was hoping that I could catch up on the work that I had missed with Amanda’s help seeing as she is in most of my classes, but she was out today and she was also out yesterday so I had to try get the work off someone else. We found out today that our annual Fun Walk was going to be on Friday. Every year there is always hype over the Fun Walk because it’s always so funny where the whole school comes together for the day and has a right o’l laugh.

There was an announcement on the intercom and we found out that the colours were:

1^st year - Pink

2^nd year - Purple

3^rd year - Green

TY - Yellow

5^th year - Blue 

6^th year - Black and White

My class decided that our theme would be Michael Jackson, so the people who were in charge of the choreography; Afaf and Pamela told us that our class should go to the hall at lunch so we could practise our dance. Our dance had some really hard steps so I tried my best to follow them and I just hoped that come Friday, I knew it.

October 1st 2012

Today I was woken up by my dad and he asked me did I want to go to school. I said “No” because I could barely open my eyes because I was so tired from last night. My mam then came in and they said that I could miss 1 day out of school because yesterday was a long day and told me to go back to sleep. My dad was the only one who actually stayed awake at 7am. He went to work and everyone else just went back to sleep. I don’t think I woke up until about 12pm. I was really happy that I didn’t go to school because I would’ve just fallen asleep anyway. For the rest of the day I just rested and watched television. I didn’t bother going on Facebook because nobody would’ve been on it because everyone was in school.

I had to wait until school was over so I could start web-texting people. Coming up to about 7 or 8pm my mam and dad left to go to my school for a meeting. It was a 6^th year parents meeting about the CAO and UCAS which is the Central Applications Office in Ireland and Britain. It was an information night for the parents so that Mr. Corcoran and Ms. Hughes could tell our parents what colleges we should apply for and what the courses are about and things like that. I was going to apply to colleges in the UK but Mr. Corcoran said that for Hair and Beauty, I didn’t need to, that he would help me apply to colleges in Ireland.

September 30th 2012

We went up and we didn't really know anyone there except for Darren, we went over and introduced both families and his family seemed really nice and we seen little baby Leon and he was really cute and small and he was wearing a dress which was weird. I even got to hold him which was really cool because I love babies and I tried to get him to smile but he started to get a little upset so I gave him to my mam and she got him to stop crying which is probably because she knows how to deal with babies because if you can handle me as a baby you can handle ANY baby :L 

Today was a really big day for me. It was my godfather Darren's newborn baby son's christening. that was exciting enough but there was a catch, I hadn't seen Darren in over 12 years so this would be my first time meeting my godfather in over a decade. I never understood why I never got to see him but I was really nervous because he didn't know what I looked like and was afraid he would be ashamed to have ME as a goddaughter.

A few weeks ago my mam was on Facebook and saw Darren's name so she added him without knowing whether it was really him or someone else with that name. He accepted and started talking to my mam and she said that it was the right one. So they were talking for a few weeks and then Darren invited my family to his son Leon's christening. I couldn't wait but I was so nervous.

The day had arrived and we got up around 8am and started to get ready because we had to be there for about 1pm. When we were all ready, we set off for Cavan. A long 2 hours passed when we finally got to the venue; The Kesh bar in Cavan. Before we got out of the car, my mam had to change because she wore leggings in the car but wanted to wear white trousers but they would've gotten creased in the car. When she had just her underwear on a car pulled up beside her window and she was freaking out so she pulled the trousers over her legs and waited until the people had gone. We were all breaking ourselves laughing :P

When we went into the venue and made our way towards the party venue    upstairs and there was no one there but a woman who came and told us that the party didn't start until 2pm. We had an hour to kill so we decided to go down to the canteen where there were about 12 tables so we took one at the back.  My parents went up to get some food for us and brought it back to the table. It was gorgeous and I really enjoyed it and then a man with a girl walked through the door and my mam and dad stood up as he approached. It was him, my godfather Darren Byrne, I scanned him and stood up and greeted him and he gave me a hug and just started saying things like “The height of you” and “You’re really pretty”. I thought he was really nice but I really didn't know what to say to him. He was talking to us for about 5 minutes and then he told us to come upstairs to the party, so we said that we would finish up our food and then join the other people upstairs. 

For the next few hours we just mingles with some of the people there and there was some food laid on but I didn't have any of it because I had only had food about 20 minutes ago. I got a drink and then started to talk to Darren and a few others and they were really nice and for me I felt like Darren and the others were always there, it was like we had known them for ever. It was really fun and I was enjoying myself and Darren was making an effort with me by asking me questions about myself. There was also a cake which was really nice and I got 2 slices and it was so yummy. 

We took some pictures as well and we all were talking and messing about and then we went downstairs to go to the bar. We got a couple of more drinks and my mam even got me a bottle of Budweiser and we all sat down and talked and just had fun. We were in the downstairs pub for another hour or so and then we decided to go to a different pub in the town. Some people that were there that we got on well with got a minibus to the town but we hopped in the car and drove there. When we got there, we went in and sat down beside a fire and my dad bought us some drinks and we moved to sit over beside the bar. We were having fun with everyone who was there and Darren was asking me questions about me which was cool because he interested in catching up on what he had missed. 

I thought the day was a really good day and I was so glad we were invited to get a chance to build back the bridge that hadn't been there for 12 years. We left at about 10pm and we got comfortable for the long journey back to Celbridge.

September 29th 2012

Today was Katie's birthday party and I was actually really looking forward to it. I went to Xtra Vision at 1 pm to get the bus and most of the people going were there. Amanda was also there but she was not going because her and Katie weren't talking at the minute so she was going into town with Alex instead.

About 30 minutes later and we got on the bus, all of us went upstairs and sat at the back. We started just messing and having fun and I'm surprised we didn't get kicked off the bus, we were that loud. We took some pictures and discussed the plan for the day. 

When we were coming up to Liffey, we said our goodbyes to Amanda and Alex and headed for the door. It was funny when we were walking across the bridge because we were all running and screaming and singing and messing. We got to Liffey Valley and we decided to go get some food first because we were all hungry. 

Most of us got a McDonald's, I got my usual; medium chicken nugget meal with curry sauce :P Yuuuuuuuuuum! it was divine. It is always a nice feeling when you get your McDonald's and just eat it so lovingly. Katie got a call from her dad saying that he was outside Boots and wanted us to go down to him. 

When we got down, he went in and bought the tickets. The movie was on in about 1 hour so we decided to go off and have a look in some shops to pass the time. We took loads of pictures of us messing and just being young. 

At about 3pm we decided to head towards the cinema and we went in and got our seats. I was sitting beside Roisin and Rachel and we took some more pictures and got out our food. I had come prepared; my mam had packed me a small bag full of sweets, chocolate and crisps and a nice bottle of coke :P

The movie was called "The Campaign" and it was really good and funny and I really enjoyed it. After the movie we decided to take some more pictures and then look in a few more shops. By this time it was about half five/quarter to six. We decided to walk over and get the bus back home to Katie's house. We got on the bus at about 6.20 and headed for Celbridge. 

On the bus it was so funny and we took even more pictures and laughed and just messed around really and it was kind of one of them "Ye had to be there" moments. We got off at Tesco and walked to Katie's house and when we got in there was her dad and her dad's girlfriend who brought us into the sitting room where there was like a table with some cans and loads of food which was nice. We tucked in and took some pictures and sang happy birthday and then we decided to go on her Xbox 360 Kinect. All of us, 2 at a time had a go at having dance offs which were really funny because some of the dance moves were just outrageous that you wouldn't even think that they would be dance moves. 

After about 7.30 I left and so did Rachel and we walked up towards Grattan Court because I was going to Brian's house. I went in and I think we watched some television for a while and then his mam got some dinner and we all sat in front of the television and ate the lovely dinner. For the rest of the night I think me and Brian watched some more television or listened to music on his computer in his kitchen.

It was a good day altogether, I enjoyed myself anyway. September 28th 2012

Today was Katie's 16th Birthday and during lunch time we decided to set up a little cake and some cupcakes on the table for her. When she came in we all sang "Happy Birthday" and let her blow out her candle and then we all set off for the hall.

Also today in school we had a bleep test but not your normal bleep test, this one was for teachers. When we were told that there was going to be a teacher bleep test we were all so excited because it's very rare that we get to see teachers letting their hair down and letting loose. It was on in the hall and to see it you had to pay €1 which was reasonable and sitting on the ground was about 300 people all desperate to see their teachers running to see how fit they were. 

Me, Alex, Rachel, Amanda and a few others were sitting in the front row and we saw all the teachers who were partaking in the event. There was Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Lawlor, Mr. Corcoran, Mr. Kerrigan, Ms. Leonard, Ms. Macken, Ms. Farrell, Ms. Felle and Ms. Hughes. When it started everyone was cheering and calling teachers names to enhance their performance. On the first length, they had to do a slow jog up and on the way back Mr. Kennedy sped back down like a rocket and everyone was laughing. One by one the teachers were dropping out and everyone cheered for them to congratulate them. To no surprise the last 4 people was all the male teachers :L Then when we were on level 9 there was only Mr. Lawlor (P.E. teacher) and Mr. Kerrigan (Chaplain) and I was shocked because I didn't know that Mr. Kerrigan was that fit like I didn't think he would be up there against the school p.e. teacher.

About 5 minutes later they were on round 10 and everybody was thinking that Mr. Kerrigan was going to beat Mr. Lawlor and then they were thinking that Mr. Lawlor is the schools p.e. teacher, so that he HAD to win!

Mr. Kerrigan dropped out and Mr. Lawlor was the winner and everyone was cheering that the fittest teacher in the school was Mr. Lawlor but instead of stopping to embrace this proud moment, he kept going. About another 5 minutes later he finally stopped and everybody was going "OH MY GOD!" 

After school I was so happy because YES, another weekend had come. I had such a busy weekend ahead of me; Saturday was Katie's birthday party and on Sunday was my godfather's sons christening. I went home and got ready because I was going over to Brian's house to do some homework done because I probably wouldn't get it done over the weekend.

I went over to his house at about 6.30pm and I started doing some homework but Brian much preferred to listen to music and watch me doing my homework. After a while I got bored and we decided to put on a movie. It was a funny film called "The Dictator". I enjoyed it and so did Brian. I really enjoyed just having a quiet night in watching a funny movie with the person i love.

Today nothing really happened in school apart from the usual. My dad came home today from the Plowing Championship in Wexford and he brought presents! He just brought home some key rings and biscuits but it was good to have him back home because I missed him <3

September 26th 2012

Today was the day that I went over to see Brian for the first time since he had his operation. I was excited and nervous because I didn't know what state he would be in. I went over and he told me how the operation went and his foot was in a thick bandage.

For the night we just sat on this couch in the kitchen listening to music and talking to each other. I was glad that nothing went wrong during the operation and was happy that Brian was okay.

September 25th 2012

For Leaving Cert. Geography you have to do Fieldwork which is like a project which is worth 20% of your final grade.  Today was the day that we were going to do it, we came into school and it was good because we didn't have to wear our uniform but we had to wrap up warm because we were going to be in the Wicklow Mountains. 

My geography class were in reception at 9am and Ms. Watson was there taking a roll call and then Mr O'Callaghan came in and he a cap and an umbrella and all. We all thought he was funny but I suppose he came prepared. After we were all ready we headed for the bus. 

It was like a mini bus with about 30 seats, we then set off at about 9.10am and set off for the mountains. The closer we got to the mountains the more it rained. I was sitting beside Patricia, the new girl in my classes. She is really nice but she could talk for hours on end :L

I had my schoolbag with me as well because we had to bring a full change of clothes with us in case we fell in the river or the rain soaked our clothes. I had also brought my pencil case, my worksheet and some food. We were going to a place where I was before; my dad had a work convention thing a few years ago and my family went and did activities. 

When we arrived at Kippure estate we got out in the lashings of rain and went into the center  there was loads of tables and chairs laid out and we all sat down and had some food. Then 2 people that worked there came in and gave a presentation and told us what we were going to be doing and getting us sorted. We then headed out to get our waders and out raincoats on us. 

I was standing outside in the rain waiting for the others because I was one of the people done first, Ms.Watson was there with a camera so she took a picture of me and a few other people with our waders on us. We then got split into groups and set off for the river. We went to the lower course first and then did our measuring in the lashings of rain. We were there for about an hour measuring the angles and speed of the river. It was disappointing to find out that we couldn't get into the river because ti was moving at like 1 meter per second which was really fast.

After that we made our way up to the upper course of The River Liffey (Athdown Brooke). It was only about a 5 minute walk and then we walked down some steps and went over to measure the upper course and we were disappointed again because we couldn't get into this river either. I was so sad because I really wanted to get into at least one of the rivers. It was very wet and mucky and cold but we tried to get all the measuring done quick so we could go back and get warm. We were done so we headed back to the center which was about a 8 minute walk, I grabbed my bag and went into the bathroom to change out of my wet clothes. 

When I was in my warm, clean clothes I felt refreshed and more comfortable because I wasn't soaking wet. We ate again and then after about 20 minutes the guides told us all the measurements so we could write them down on our worksheets. About 20 minutes later it was time for us to leave so we headed for the bus. About 1 hour later we arrived back at the school. 

The trip was really good and interesting but I didn't like the fact that we were  in the rain for about 6 hours and that we couldn't get into the rivers but overall the trip was really good and I'm happy that we are guaranteed a good mark for the project and it is worth 20% of my final grade so I better get an A in it :P

September 24th 2012

Today there was a lot happening, I was cooking chocolate chip cookies in Home Economics, Brian was getting his operation on his foot, I was getting my cervical vaccination and my dad was going to Wexford for 4 days for some Plowing Championship Fair. I went into school and I was really on a downer because I wasn't really feeling myself because I was nervous about getting "the jab".

In Home Economics, me and Amanda went into the kitchen and got all of our equipment ready. I was making chocolate chip cookies and Amanda was making fairy cakes with red icing on them. I think I was looking forward to her food than mine :L 

At about 10.15, we were both finished making our "masterpieces" and we cleaned up our work spaces and were now relaxing and munching away on our food. My cookies were a little bit burned but still tasted kind of nice but Amanda's fairy cakes were more like muffins because they were so tall. The red icing on the cakes was really nice though. We shared all the food out evenly and then we brought them and showed our friends.

For most of the day it was fine but we didn't know when we were going to be called down to get our injections so every time there was an announcement being made I froze. After lunch my class (Kestrel) were the only class that hadn't got it yet. Then there was an announcement about us, whoever didn't get the injection had to go to the library. I went in and left my schoolbag over by the door and walked over to this woman and she asked me what class I was in and then brought me over to another woman and I sat down. She went through what was going to be happening and then asked me a few questions and then I had to sign a sheet.

I had worn a top underneath my shirt so I could just take off the shirt, she asked me was I okay because I was apparently shaking and as white as a sheet. She talked me through what she was doing and then I felt it. It wasn't even over in a second, it was inside me for a few seconds and I could feel something inside me and that made me want to vomit. She put a little plaster over the hole and gave me a sheet of information about my injection and I walked over to the other side of the library where we had to sit and wait for 15-20mins. I sat over down and started to cry because the pain was really killing me and I couldn't really move my arm. 

Alex then came over and tried to get me to stop crying but the pain was just really sore so one of the women there came over to me and asked to look at my arm and she said that it was all red and a bit bruised around the hole. She brought me over to a man and he looked at it and then gave me a ice pack to put on it. I had it on it for about 10 minutes and then it was starting to feel a little but better. The woman said I might of had a reaction to it. I went back to class and it was religion so I just put my head on the table while the others watched something on YouTube . 

For the rest of the day it was lashing so after school my mam collected me from school and I told her about  what happened that day. When I got home, I texted Brian to see how he got on and he didn't reply and I was a little worried because his operation was for about 10am so I left it for another few hours and then finally he texted back telling me that everything went okay. I was content. 

I had my dinner and afterwards, I was really tired. My mam said that it was just a side affect but I was soon deeply asleep and my mam woke me up 2 hours later. This was so out of character because I cannot sleep during the day, the only time I can sleep is when it is night time and it is pitch black. My mam woke me up because she didn't want me to not sleep that night so I went upstairs and what did I do?

September 23rd 2012

Today I had a few things to do, my dad drove me to Aldi because I needed to get a bar of milk chocolate because I was cooking tomorrow. Then he drove me to Liffey Valley because I needed to go to Eason and get a book for English "How many miles to Babylon?" We then headed home and when I got in, I grabbed a few copies because Amanda needed them for homework. When I got in I got my dinner and then I went up and got ready to go out because I had promised Brian that I would go out for a cycle with him.

My dad dropped me up to Brian's house and we got the bikes ready and then we set off, we cycled down towards my house and then up past the playground and up towards the N4. I hadn't been on a bike in years but I said that I would give it a shot. On the way back I was knackered and Brian kept on laughing at me because he said that I was going so slow and he showed how fast he usually goes. He was there one minute then he was gone because he had to be going about 60km/h. About 5 minutes later I caught up with him and we just headed back to his house.

When we got back his mam was asking us how we got on and she was laughing at me because I said I was knackered. I think for the rest of the night we just stayed in his house listening to music and talking really. I had a really good time today with him on the bikes and maybe we can do it again after he is off his crutches. 

September 22nd 2012

Today I went over to Brian's house at about 2pm because we were going to go to Liffey Valley. We set off at about 2.30pm and Brian's mam drove me, Brian and Alan to Liffey Valley. The four of us went int and went our different ways but met up about 15 minutes later because Brian's mam was getting new shoes for Brian and Alan, when they were done, me and Brian went off to Argos.

When we got there, we tried on the rings and got them. I loved mine and it was so pretty.I couldn't wait to wear it on me and Brian's 1 year anniversary. Brian liked his one too, we then left and headed to McDonald's and got some food. The food was very yummy and we were just talking and having fun.

We walked over to the bus stop and got the bus home. We got off in the village and started to walk up to Brian's house. We were up near Rapheals when we heard a car beeping behind us, it was Brian's mam. We hopped in the car and she brought us home and then I made the decision that we would go to my house for the night.

Brian grabbed his swimming shorts and a towel because we were going to go into my hot tub for a bit. We went to my house and got into the hot tub. We were only in it for an hour because Brian had to go out and get his dinner, so his mam collected him from my house at about 7.45 but I really wanted him to come back afterwards but the only problem was that my parents were going out to my cousin Desmond's 40th birthday and we knew Brian's mam would not allowed Brian to stay in my house with no parents. 

When Brian's mam was outside me, Brian and my dad went out to talk to her and tell her that there would be no parents there but Dean would be our chaperon. She agreed to let him come back over and we were really happy that our parents were ready to trust us again.

Brian came back over after he had got his dinner and he ate it in my house, we all sat down in front of the television to watch the X Factor. We were happy and having fun and Dean was even joining in because we stopped watching the television and started messing by trowing balls at each other and then I was on the floor and Brian grabbed 1 of my feet and Dean grabbed the other and pulled me along, I couldn't stop laughing, I nearly wet myself. 

The whole night was fun and I was really happy that our parents trusted us because we didn't even do anything, we just had fun really and messed. I think Brian's mam collected Brian at 10.50pm.

September 21st 2012

Today nothing really happened in school but that night I was going to The Mill because there was a showcase where Amanda, Rachel and Katie were going to be dancing and singing. It wasn't just for them there was many other acts but I said I would go anyway.

I was supposed to be walking down to The Mill with Alex but she texted me saying that she couldn't go because she was babysitting so at 7.15pm my dad drove me to The Mill. There was no admission charge which was good. When I got there, I thought only a few people would show up but when I went into the room there had to be about 200 people there. There wasn't any available seats so I just found a spot over near the wall and I had a good view. 

Amanda's mam and brother Harry saw me so they stood with me, an hour later Amanda's group was on. They were all wearing pink and white polka dot skirts with white tops and a pink and white polka dot neck-scarf. There was about 30 of them and there was even little girls there too, some as young as 5 years old. I thought their dance was really good and everyone gave them a big cheer afterwards. While my friends were getting changed I was chatting away to Ms. Ward (English) whose children were also in the showcase.

When my friends came out we just walked home but it was freezing. We were supposed to go out but it was really cold so we just went home.

September 20th 2012

Today I don't think a lot happened in school apart from having free double Irish so we had a substitute teacher but Ms. O'Connell had left us work so me and Amanda tried to get that work done fast so we could do some other homework or, because it's me and Amanda, talk :L 

September 19th 2012

Today was the day of The Higher Options in the RDS. I woke up at 5.30am and got ready, I actually found it sickening putting make-up so early in the morning. I went downstairs and made myself some breakfast to wake myself up fully. It was coming up 6.50am when Amanda's dad was outside. I said my goodbyes and grabbed my coat and bag and made sure I had my sheets and map and some pens and most important my lunch and money.

We set off and Amanda told me that Rachel wasn't going because she had a sore throat. Her dad drove us to the bus stop outside Salesian's and we waited in the car until we saw the bus. A 67X bus came so Amanda's dad got out to ask him about where he was going and he wasn't going where we wanted to go so he drove us to the bus stop outside Crodaun and there was some people there that we knew so we got out and stood there with them. The bus came about 5 minutes later and we used our passes and we were grand and got a seat at the back. 

By the time we got to the village the bus was packed. Alex, Aoife Byrne and Niamh O'Reilly got on at Xtra vision but the bus was so packed, that me and Amanda were sitting at the back of the bus and the others were standing up where the prams go. So we just had to wait until we got off the bus at Palmerstown. We got off at about 7.45 and waited outside a newsagents and at about 8.10am we got on an 18 bus and we went upstairs and got comfy because it was a long drive to the RDS.

We took some pictures and were talking and having fun and laughing and then some guys got on the bus who were going to school but it was really funny because they were messing behind us. Me and Amanda couldn't stop laughing because she was nervous and I was laughing at her. The guys had a lighter and were lighting the rubber on the windows and then fanning it out and then were talking about burning the end of some girls hair and I freaked out because they were right behind me. Niamh got talking to a group of girls in front of us and they were saying that they were getting off at the RDS too so we decided just to follow them. As we were getting off, 1 guy pushed his friend forward so he bashed into Aoife really hard, everyone on the bus laughed and the guy nearly knocked the other one out, he was so angry :L

We walked over and we were diverted to another place and got a free pen on the way off Spin 103.8. We found Mr. Corcoran and he gave us our wristbands and marked us present and we went in. We got some free stuff when we went in as well. Me and Amanda went off and looked at many different stands and spoke to loads of colleges and we got a good idea of where we want to go. We had about 3 bags full of books that the spokesperson gave us. It was about 12.30 when we had to meet up with Mr. Corcoran again so he could mark us present and then we could leave if we wanted to. We met up with Alex, Aoife and Niamh and set off to the bus stop with our libraries on our backs. :L 

We got to the bus stop and just missed a bus and then when another one came about 20 minutes it was packed so we decided to walk down to another bus stop and then we got on it and set off for town. When we got off we decided to go to get some food. Alex and Amanda wanted to go to Eddie rockets and Me, Aoife and Niamh wanted to get a McDonald's sow e went our separate ways. While we were walking to McDonald's we saw Jessica Dennehy  and I thought she was going to come over and say something but she just looked at me and walked past while saying "freak" I could take that, just shook it off and continued walking.

I got a Happy Meal and we all went upstairs and sat down to eat. When we were done we walked back up to Eddie Rockets but Alex and Aoife were talking and Aoife told her that her and Niamh were heading off home so I went into Eddie Rockets and joined Amanda and Alex. 

We were there for about 30 minutes and then we set off for Penny's because Amanda wanted to get some things and I got some false nails; really pretty ones too. We then went into other shops and just had fun and messed but it was so tiring walking around with the books with us. It was coming up to about 4.30 so we made the decision to walk to the bus stop and go home. We went over and the bus wasn't for ages so we went into Claire's and I got 3 pairs of them clip on ear cuff's which i wanted for ages. They are so pretty and so easy to use. We went into Abrakebabra and sat down there for a few minutes and then the bus came so we went over and it was packed. The 3 of us were sitting in 3 different seats but close to one another.

All was good we were chatting away and laughing and a few other people we knew were sitting a few rows behind us. At one point I could not stop laughing and Alex and Amanda were the same and then my phone was ringing but I didn't know it was my phone and I had like a blonde moment where I went "What is that noise?.......OOOOOOOH it's my phone!" Alex and Amanda were in stitches laughing at me because they said I was like 1 of them blonde bimbo's in an American movie. 

When we were in Lucan I think I don't know what I said but Amanda started laughing but the funny thing about that was that she was drinking some fizzy drink and when she laughed, so spat all over this man ready a newspaper. He was not happy and wiped his arm in disgust. Amanda was so shocked, Alex started laughing and I couldn't look at her in case I laughed to an extreme where I would spit on him too. Amanda apologized to him and then a few minutes later she apologized again and he said "Doesn't make it better, you saying sorry twice" . I thought that was quite rude but then again she did spit all over him :L I would be mortifies if it was me but it was funny to look at it.

Me and Amanda got off the bus at Tesco and Alex stayed on until she got to Aldi, me and Amanda just walked home because we were knackered. I think when I got home I fell asleep on the sofa and slept for 2 hours which I never do. I usually have to be in a dark place and for it to be night time but I was just so wrecked.  It was a good day anyway.

September 18th 2012

Today after school me and Rachel had planned to walk down to Londis in the village to get some 1day bus passes for tomorrow because we were going to the RDS for The Higher Options exhibition. I was going to get one for Amanda as well because she couldn't come out with us. When we got to Londis, the woman said that they only had 2 left so we bought them ones anyway. We walked up to Centra and they had loads in there so we were lucky that we didn't leave it until tomorrow to get the passes, better to be prepared than rushing. Why make things difficult for yourself ?

When I got home I had a busy night ahead of me. I had a shower and washed my hair, I got my bag read for tomorrow, sorted out what I was going to be wearing and my lunch. By the time I was finished getting everything ready it was about 11pm so I just got into bed because I had an early start in the morning and a long day ahead.

September 17th 2012

Today there was a UCAS meeting in the computer room for all people applying to colleges in the UK. Me and Amanda wanted to go to it so we went to Home Ecc and told Ms. McArdle that we wanted to go so she let us. When we were in the meeting, Mr. Corcoran gave us all a little talk and then showed us this website that we had to register on. There was about 6 different sections that needed to be filled out so we made a start on the first one. 

For the rest of the day I didn't really do anything that exciting so when I got home I did my homework, had some food and then decided to make out my Christmas presents-to-get List. I ended up having a list with my family, Brian, Brian's family, Amanda, Katie and Rachel, Ms. Watson, Ms McHale and Mr Kerrigan. For the first year ever I was going to get my Christmas presents early instead of waiting until the second week of December. I was going to get everything hopefully before December and put them aside and know where they are and not have to run around rushing.

September 16th 2012

Today I went over to Brian's house at about 5pm. I had brought over my schoolbag because we decided to do some homework together.  When I got there Brian's grand-dad was there, I had met him twice before and he seems really nice. About 30 minutes he and Brian;s mam left to bring him back home.

We did most of our homework and then afterwards Brian had his dinner. He had stew and he was not happy about that. I laughed because his mam was literally forcing him to eat it. I don't know what he has against stew, stew is animal :P 

For the rest of the night we were chilling in his kitchen listening and dancing to music. Brian's mam drove me home at 10.15pm.

September 15th 2012

Today I went over to Katie’s house and we were all talking and messing but then Rachel went into the bathroom and Amanda went in after her to try see what was going on. A few minutes later the both of them came out and Amanda had decided that we all sit in a circle on the floor and let us one by one say what we did and didn't like about each other. I think I started and then it was Rachel's turn and then Katie's and then Amanda was last.

Amanda told me that the only reason why we were having the chat was because even after we spoke to Katie about how we felt, she still didn't change anything and that upset Rachel. Amanda had the most to say about Katie and because of that I felt Katie had said some things about Amanda that were only small but she felt like she had to because maybe she felt like she was being ambushed.


I was really pleased that nobody had anything bad to say about me, Katie said that I was a really nice person, Amanda said that I was really pretty and Rachel said that I was so nice and friendly and that I should never change. I could feel tears forming in my eyes because it was so nice of them to say something so nice to a not-so-confident girl.

At about 6pm I left and went back to my house because Brian was coming over at about 6.30pm. When he came over I think we just sat in my sitting room with my family eating some food while watching the X Factor. For the rest of the night we just relaxed and ate really :L

September 14th 2012

Today I went out with Brian at about 4pm, we went to Castletown and walked across the field and then lay on the grass and talked and messed and then we moved to the river bank and sat there for a little while watching the ripples in the fast-moving river. It was surprisingly pleasant and then we decided to move again, we sat under a massive tree and just lay there. We talked and I was so comfortable lying on Brian’s chest. It was coming up at 8pm so we set off and walked to The Mill. 

We met up with Amanda, Rachel and Katie and then we had to wait for Katie’s dad to come and pick her up. The four of us then headed up to Spar and got some mini pizzas. We were having a laugh and chatting and then we headed up to Grattan Court.

We decided just to sit on a curb with a few young kids we knew. We were sitting there for ages and then Rachel went home at about 10pm. Brian walked me and Amanda up to the top of the estate at about 10.15pm and then me and Amanda walked home

September 13th 2012

Today I went out with the girls. We headed up to Spar and got some food and chatted and had a laugh. All was good and we were having fun and messing. We then headed back to Grattan Court, we went onto the little green and were listening to music while dancing and then we sat on the wall for a short while. 
Things started to go downhill and Katie started getting in a strop. She walked off and stood with her back turned to us and her arms crossed and we were wondering what she was doing. Rachel went over to her and me and Amanda walked over to the other side of the road and she spoke to me about how she felt about Katie. We then saw Rachel walking back over to us and she looked as if she was annoyed at Katie. The four of us started talking because we needed to sort out a few things. I, Rachel and Amanda said what we needed to say to Katie hoping that she would listen to us. She then voiced her opinions to us and we discussed a good few things. Rachel then went in and then Katie left and we talked about what had happened, we really did hope that she understood where we were coming from. 
Me and Amanda then left and started walking home.

September 12th 2012

Today me and Brian had planned to go out, He knocked for me at about 7pm and we walked down to Tesco and got some food. He bought 2 bags of sweets, 1 of them was just for me, it was so nice of him. We then walked over towards the playground but stopped just after "Eircom", we climbed up onto the wall and sat there eating out sweets. We then walked back over to Tesco and stayed around that area for the rest of the night.

September 10th - 11th 2012

On the 10th and 11th of September Amanda was out because on the 9th she wasn't feeling very well, so she didn't come in. 

Friend Logic is that 5% of you thinks "Aww I hope she's okay. 95% of you thinks "That bitch left me alone in school". I was part of the 95% group :P

September 9th 2012

Today Amanda came over to my house in the afternoon, we were going to be doing some homework together. She came over at about 3pm and we went up the playroom and did some of our homework, but for most of it, we were just talking about things. Amanda then poured her heart out to me and said that her and Katie had a fight. I listened to her as she told me what had happened, I was shocked because I could feel how upset she was and I didn't like the fact of my friends fighting. I tried telling Amanda what she should do and then we tried to get some more homework done.

At about 7pm we made the decision to knock up to Rachel and ask her to come out, Amanda had texted her and she said that she would but then she said she couldn't but we were already in Grattan Court so we said "Ahh feck it we're here now!" :L We knocked for her and her dad answered the door and he said "She's not coming out!" and slammed the door shut. We were shocked and offended, he couldn't have slammed the door faster if he tried. We decided to walk down to Spar anyway and get a mini pizza.

We sat down and ate our mini pizza and just talked and messed and laughed. All was good until I burned my lip on the pizza, I was close to crying because it was so hot. I survived anyway :L 

We then set off back to my house, but we stopped off in Grattan Court and talked to Brian and his friends for a few minutes, Amanda was a bit nervous because she doesn't really talk to them anymore. About 20 minutes later I said "goodbye" to Brian and then we walked home. Amanda got her stuff and then I walked her home because she didn't feel well and I didn't her collapsing on me. 

September 8th 2012

Today I hung out with Brian and we just did the usual by walking around Celbridge and then deciding to just hang out either outside Tesco or on a wall somewhere. Celbridge is so boring and there is just nothing to do.

September 7th 2012

Today was another Friday, YES! When school was over I planned to go out with Brian, so I came home and got some food and got ready and went to Brian’s house. Brian wanted to go around to the little green because his friends were there but I really wanted to hang out with him, like just the two of us because we barely hang out together, just with his friends. I went over anyway and I asked him did he want to play and he said “No”. Then his friends shouted over “Chopper wanna play world cup?” and Brian shouted back “NO” and then they shouted back “Is that you saying no or Lauren?” I was annoyed because I didn't mind him playing football but his friends always think that he doesn't want to play because of me.
I walked off because I was angry and upset. I walked up the road until I was outside Lee’s house. There were a few kids who I knew and they came over because they saw that I was upset. They started telling me what I should do and you wouldn't think they were about 5-10 years old but 17 or 18 years old. 

I could see that Brian had not come after me but instead he had gone onto the little green to play football. I was really upset and surprised that he was playing football on his “sore foot”. It was a good 90 minutes before I actually went back over to the wall on the little green and Lee’s sister asked Brian to come over to me, but he shouted back over “Nah, I'm busy!” I broke down and cried my eyes out even more, all the kids came over and hugged me and tried to get me to stop. I couldn't stop, I felt so sad that he chose his friends over me, me the one who he is supposed to love. 
He eventually came over and the kids left me and Brian to talk. I was crying my eyes out and Brian was trying to get me to stop, he said he was sorry for leaving me on my own to cry while he went off with his friends. I told him that I didn't like how he and his friends were treating me and he told me that he would talk to his friends and he would never treat me like that again. I love him so I forgave him, again.

We talked for a bit and he wiped my tears away and we walked down to Spar and we sat and ate some sweets and he cheered me up and we hung out for the rest of the night on our own. I was content :)

September 6th 2012

Today when we were in careers, Mr. Corcoran gave us a talk about applying to UK colleges. I was interested because I thought there would be better courses over there and I have always wanted to live in the UK. He said that there was going to be a meeting on in a few weeks if we were interested. Amanda was applying to the UK too, she told me to talk to my parents but they weren't too keen on me moving to the UK. I tried talking them around by saying that just because I was applying to the UK, doesn't mean I will be accepting the offer. I let them think about it and then I would ask again later.

Today I brought in €6.75 into school to pay for the bus for our Geography trip. I don't think anything else happened in school. Bit of a boring day :L

Today when I woke I felt like I was dying. I couldn’t breathe because my nose was blocked, I still went to school but felt miserable. I hate when I’m sick because I feel like I have “Manflu”. During school I just wanted to go home but I soldered on. When I came home my mam looked after me by making me a nice cup of tea.
