Today nothing really happened except we had a Home Economics test and that was it really. 

October 7th 2012

Brian came over to my house today and I had planned for us to go on the computer but my mam was on it so my mam said that we could go upstairs to the playroom to go on the computer. This was a big moment for everyone; my mam was starting to trust me and Brian again that not every hour of every day we think about having sex. So we went up and went onto You Tube and started jamming out to some beastly tunes :P We were having fun and then my dad called us and asked us did we want to see The X Factor, so we went down and got cosy in front of the television with some food and drink and just relaxed there for the rest of the night. It was a good night altogether, then my dad drove Brian home at 11pm.

October 6th 2012

Today I went over to Brian’s house because we had planned to watch a movie and he said I could chose so I brought over “27 Dresses” which is a real 

rom-com so I thought it would be perfect because they are Brian’s favourite type of movie. He watched it anyway and he loved it! He was crying at the end, no he wasn’t but it would’ve been funny if he did. His mam came in to us halfway though and she was surprised that he was watching it and I know what she was thinking, “Fair play Lauren!” :P

I just hung out in his house for the rest of the night and we went onto his computer and listened to loads of different songs. I then went home at 11pm.

October 5th 2012

Today was our annual Fun Walk. We had to go into school in our tracksuits so we had to bring in our outfits. In the morning when I went in, I was just having fun with my friends and taking pictures of us doing different faces and poses and just messing around really. Everyone was on a buzz because this day of the year is always a good day because its a chance for both teacher and student to get involved and just have a good time really.

                  

                            

                               

                 

There was loads of people who were already dressed up in their outfits so at little break I decided to into the toilet and change into my gear. I walked down to where I have lunch and everybody loved my outfit and we started taking more pictures.

In P.E. even though most of us brought our tracksuits Mr. Lawlor said we didn’t have to change into our tracksuits so we just did our session and then just went straight to our next class; didn't need to change back into our outfits. After maths we went straight to our lunch rooms because instead of us having lunch at 1.20pm we were having it at 12.40pm. We had our lunch and we were all messing and taking more pictures and just laughing really. 
                              
                                        
At 1.20pm we went back to our English rooms and we started to practice our dance routine a few more times and then all we had to do was wait until we were called. About 10 minutes later we all left and headed for the tennis courts. When we got down there was only the judges and the prefects there, so we went over to behind the judges because they are the best seats in the house. When all of the year groups were gathered around in a circle the battle commenced. 1 by 1 the year groups made their way to the middle of the circle in front of the judges table. Most of the year groups song choices were about friendship which was the theme of our Fun Walk. 

It was now the moment that me and Alex had been waiting for. It was Mr. O’Callaghan’s class up next. We had spoken to him a few days before and he had told that he was going to be dancing to PSY’s Gangnam Style so we couldn't wait. His class started dancing and then the music broke down and Gangnam Style started and Mr. O’Callaghan started dancing which was so funny and all I could see was Ms. Watson breaking her heart laughing because they were like best friends so to she him letting loose and dancing to such a modern song in such a “dad dancing at a wedding kind of way” :L                                                       
Then all I could see was his trousers hanging off him! I wasn’t sure whether it was part of the routine or not but then he pulled his trousers all the way down and everyone was screaming and even Ms. Watson was surprised because he was wearing like these purple polka dot pyjama bottoms and then he ripped his shirt off and he had a t-shirt on saying “Hug Me”. I was breaking my heart laughing and even Ms. Watson was near to falling off her chair because she was looking at middle age man stripping off in front of about 700 teenage girls who LOVED it! :L It was so funny and fair play to him but he always gets involved in the Fun Walk. 
Finally the time had come for the 6th years to do their routines, I can’t remember which order we went in but before us was Ms. Guillfoyle’s class and the class were dressed like chimney sweeps and had ash on their faces and there was a chimney behind them. They were doing a song from Mary Poppins and they were jumping around and then out of the chimney stepped Ms. Guillfoyle dressed as Mary Poppins with multi-coloured stockings with high heels. The end of their routine was all of them coming up to the judges table and blowing powder at them and all you could see was them moving backwards cause it just looked like a cloud of smoke.

It was now our turn and we all went to our places and then the music started and then we started. We had a mix up with Michael Jackson’s Black or White, Beat it and Thriller. We started it and during Beat it, I forgot some of the routine but quickly regained it back. When we had finished everyone clapped and people said I was really good but they were unaware that I had made a mistake; they thought it was part of the routine so I just said “Oh thank you!” :P 

We then set off for our Fun Walk! Me and Alex set off and we headed towards St. Raphael’s Manor and the TY classes were there along the way making sure we crossed the roads safely. We walked through the big estate and out the other end beside Scoil Na Mainistreach, and turned left and walked back to the school. When we got back we went over and got a can of coca cola and went over to the speaker and started dancing to the music. 

       

      

I then did a dance dare which was cool and funny because my friends could not stop laughing and the girl who I did it to hadn’t a clue what was going on. 


Gangnam Style then came on and me and Alex started doing the dance moves and there were a few people in a circle doing dance off’s so when the chorus started of the song I jumped into the middle and started dancing. I was having so much fun and it was really great just letting your hair down for 1 day and just let loose. 
When school was over I just went home and got ready because I was going over to Brian’s house. I went over and did the same things we always do, watch some television and then going on his computer and listening to songs on You Tube and looking at stuff on Facebook. I got upset that night but I forget what about but I think I was just emotional because it was that time of the month.

October 4th 2012

Today in school during lunch, our English c lass were practicing our dance and it was really funny because neither me or Alex or Amanda could get to copes with the hard choreography. Alex and Amanda were messing beside me and then Amanda stood on her foot wrong and went to sit down. Me and Alex were laughing and even she was laughing but when she started getting tears in her eyes I started to worry. I went over and was talking to her and she was telling me that she couldn’t feel her foot and that her leg was sore. A few minutes passed and then everyone else started to gather around her because now she was really getting upset.

Kellie went off and got Siobhan because she was like trained in First Aid, she came and then started to try get Amanda to calm down and then I decided to go to get a teachers help. Mr Kerrigan and Ms Smyth were talking outside the staff room in the courtyard and I told them what happened and we all went to the hall. Mr Kerrigan was talking to Amanda and asked her what happened while Ms Smyth was only worried about getting everyone to go back to class.

Mr Kerrigan told me to go get either Mr Lawlor or Ms O’Callaghan so I ran off and found Mr Lawlor and told him what happened and then he came with me back to the hall. Amanda was sitting in a wheelchair and Alex was with her. Ms Smyth came over and told me to go back to my class but I didn’t want to, I wanted to stay with my best-friend. I wasn’t just going to leave Amanda on her own when she was hurt. Ms Smyth said that Amanda had Alex, which was okay that she had someone there to keep her calm but no disrespect to Alex; I wanted to be the one that was with her. I felt so helpless and with Ms. Smyth basically kicking me out of the hall, I just walked out.

I was really angry and pissed off really and I was walking towards Rachel and tears just flooded my eyes and Rachel ran up to me and hugged me and sat on the bench with me. I told her what happened and she assured me that she was going to be okay and that we could go over to her house later on in the evening. I accepted that and she calmed me down and a few minutes later a few teachers came over to see was I okay. Then Ms. Smyth walked by me and said “Stop making a big deal out of nothing!” I then snapped at her while walking away and then Ms. Barry said “Stop crying or go home”

I then went back to my double Irish class and couldn’t stop thinking about it for the whole class so at the break of class me, Aoife and Alex went to get our book out of our lockers and then went down to reception to talk to Amanda and she was there still crying and all I could do was cry. I hated seeing my best friend in pain and the fact that I couldn’t do anything about it made it ten times worse.

We went back to class and I couldn’t wait to get out of the school so I could go home, do my homework, get some food and then go to her house.

I went over at about 7pm and Rachel was already there and I went in and Amanda’s leg was all bandaged up and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her because I didn’t like seeing her like this. She told me and Rachel what her mam said and what the doctor said when she was in the hospital. She had torn 2 ligaments in her leg and had to be in a cast for the next few weeks and that would mean she would need physical therapy and medication and all sorts.

After spending about an hour with her we left and I felt a bit relieved that it was only 2 ligaments that she tore and wasn’t more injured than what I thought she was.

October 3rd 2012

Today we didn’t really do anything. In the morning me and Alex went to Mr. O’Callaghan’s room to talk to him. Alex wanted to get some homework off him for her sister Sarah. We ended up talking to him for about 20 minutes, he is such a funny teacher and I love him. He was talking to us for ages about his family and he was asking us about how our families do things. He always talks about his kids, like all the time so if there was ever an exam on his life and kids, I would get an A :P 
For the rest of the day nothing really happened except for when me and Alex were going upstairs and I decided to mess on the stairs and in a real dramatic voice I said “One small step for man!” and Alex was laughing but Ms. Watson caught me and said “And bigger steps for you Lauren Murphy”. I just started laughing and so did she in all fairness. Hahahaha gotta love her
