Today I did nothing; I just caught up on some homework. I had to do my Irish oral sheet which I knew would take about 2 hours to do. I left that until after my dinner. We had our Sunday dinner and watched The Xtra factor and had a good laugh. I then went into the kitchen to make a start on my Irish Oral sheets.
About 2 hours later I had finished them, I was pleased because I had all my homework done and I didn’t have to worry about it on Monday morning.I fancied eating some jelly and ice cream while watching some television in my room. Me and Amanda had planned for her to come over to my house to do some homework together because I forgot some books. She came over at about 3pm and we went up to my new study room because I wanted to show it to her and then we sat down to do some homework but we ended up just talking. We talked for a good while and she was telling me what had happened on Friday and Saturday between her, Rachel and Katie. I was shocked because of how upset Amanda was getting, all I could do was listen and give her my opinion on what was going on.

September 1st 2012
Today I woke up and just relaxed for a few hours by lying on my bed watching some television and then I went downstairs to go on the Internet to check out my Facebook and then listen to some music on YouTube.
I was talking to Brian and he was saying that he was going out to his friends today because there was like a sports day thing going on in Grattan Court and he asked me to come up later so I went up at about 4pm.
When I went up I went over to the little green and there was about 100 people there, there was different parts of the green being occupied by different games. There was football, egg-and-spoon race, wellie throw, javelin, water bottle race and 2much more and there was a barbeque. When I went over to Brian’s friend they said he was in his house, so I went and got him and we walked back and sat on the grass and watched all the activities going on.
Me and Brian then went over to Andy’s dad Donal and his dog “Darcy”, who is so adorable and we look after her for a few minutes while Donal went down to Spar. Brian got me a burger which was really nice and I gave some of the bun to Darcy and she loved it :P
It was a good day all and all and after the sports day was over me and Brian went into Brian’s house. Me and Brian went down with his mam to Macarri’s down near Celbridge House because we were getting a take away. I got a battered sausage and about 4 chips which was enough for me. After it was over me, Brian and his dad watched a movie called Idiocracy, and we all thought it was going to be funny but it was just stupid really. You know when a movie is rubbish when they try too hard to be funny and it ends up just being annoying. I then got my dad to collect me at 11pm.

Today was Friday! YES!! Weekend time which means sleep. When I went into school I thought I had ECDL first class but then I discovered that I didn’t have ECDL as a class this year so I didn’t know where I had to be, so I scurried around asking people what class they where in so I could find out where I was supposed to be. I was in Biology…………..great L
At 11.20 I had P.E which was handy because I had Home Ec. Before so when it was over I only had to walk a little but until I got to the changing rooms instead of getting stuck in the traffic upstairs. This year instead of having Ms. O’Callaghan we had Mr. Lawlor. P.E was actually fun because instead of “working out”, we played the game where it’s a team effort for one person to try get a skateboard attached to a long piece across to the other side of the hall without touching the ground and then pull everyone else on the team across and they can’t touch the ground and the team who gets all their team mates across the fastest wins.
After that game was finished we all stood on 3 benches and we played a game which meant that the person at the very end had to make their way to the top of the bench without going on the ground which was really hard because we basically had to hug each person and then turn around to switch places. It was funny because people kept on falling. :L
The rest of the day went by quickly and it was a great craic at lunch with Amanda, Rachel and Katie like every other day. After school was over Brian called me and wanted to know if I wanted him to walk me home. I said “Yea go on!” He was off early so I thought he may as well :P
At 7pm I went out to Brian’s estate and hung out with his friends for the night and I loved ti because it was really funny. The guys played some football and then I ended up getting involved and the aim of the game was to try getting the ball off each other by kicking, tripping and pushing. It was so funny because when I got the ball I was running and screaming and everybody was laughing at me but I didn’t care I was having fun. All the lads went after each other and they were tackling each other and sliding under people to trip them up and it just looked like footballers sliding around in muck on a field. That lasted about 1 hour and then people started getting sore because they had fallen so much :L
It was getting a bit dark and we started to play “duck duck goose” which we didn’t play for long because we found it boring. All the lads recommended “Stuck in the mud”. It was so funny because it was dark which made it harder and there was people sliding all over the place trying to free the ones who were caught. Craig at one stage had to go through 3 of us in a row to free us all and I couldn’t stop laughing maybe that why I kept getting caught :P

Today was Thursday and I didn’t want it to be Thursday because on Tuesday when I received my timetable I was horrified at the fact that on Thursday’s I have DOUBLE IRISH!!!! The thought of actually doing 2 classes of Irish in the one day was sickening and I was dreading going to the class. When the time came, me and Amanda got a table at the back but our teacher; Ms. O’Connell said that on Friday we would be sitting up the front. Could things get any worse? That would mean we would be sitting right under her nose. YAY!!!!
The rest of the day was fine and after school Brian was there to collect me again which was cool. When I got home, my mam asked me to make Dean 2 time tables like mine because mine were just so cool :3 Again I did one for Dean which was a bit bigger than mine so he could understand it better. I made a plain one for my mam so she now had me and Dean’s timetable, so she would know where we were during the day and if she needed to collect us early she would know what class we were in.
Dean had different colour folder to go with different subjects so when he went to his locker looking for his Irish books, he would know that it was the Red folder, so I made sure that I made the subjects on his timetable the same colour of his folder to make it just that bit easier for him. He really liked it and my mam gave him some blue tack that he could stick it to his locker with.

Today I wasn’t in school but Dean was so I chose to go up to Dean’s new school with him and my mam when she was driving him to school at 8.30am. Then we left and went back home and I went up to my room to relax because I still wasn’t used to getting up this early. I watched television and listened to some music for a little while and then I went downstairs to go onto the internet. I was texting Brian and asked him whether he wanted to come out but he said that he was going to visit his grand-dad and go shopping for some things for school including a new schoolbag and some trousers.
He said that he would text me when he was on his way home so that while he was on his way home, I could be getting ready. My dad dropped me up to his house at about 6pm and I went. I brought over the movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I. Me and Brian watched this before but he didn’t get to see the end of it so I thought we could watch the whole movie that night.
We watched the entire movie in full and then we tried to play some cd’s that I brought over on the playstation but they wouldn’t work so we went into the sitting room because his mam and dad were in the kitchen with the guy who was trying to fix their computer. We were having fun singing and dancing and then at about 9.20 Brian’s dad came in and put on a movie he thought we would like. It was like a thriller but I didn’t really look at it because I don’t like looking at movies like that near to bed time. My dad then collected me at 10pm because it was a school night. Today I woke up at about 7.30am and got ready for school and made sure I looked really nice by doing my make-up really pretty and making sure my hair looked nice. I also made sure that my shirt and tie were properly done because I didn’t want to get in trouble on the very first day of school; I wanted to make a good impression to the first years on their very first day of secondary school.
My dad drove me to school and I went into the courtyard and just sat and talked to Shóna; a girl who was in 6th year last year and was repeating it this year. We spoke from about 8.30 – 8.50am and then I met up with Alex and Aoife and then we made our way up to the 2nd year mall because we were going to have an assembly. I sat at a table with Amanda, Rachel, Kirsten and Shóna and all the other 6th years sat down and Ms. Watson started to speak. She welcomed us all back and gave us a sort of idea of how 6th year will go. She spoke for a while and then Mr Kerrigan said a few words about a committee which he had set up to prevent bullying and then Ms. Watson said where we had to go after she had finished.
Me, Amanda, Alex and a few other people went to room 24 because that was where our base class had to go but when we got there, we knew that we weren’t supposed to be there so we went to room 2 because we figured out what we had to go to our English class, but when we went there, there was already people in there, so we thought it best if we just went to the staff room and asked where did we have to go. Mr Kerrigan told us room 30 was where Ms. McHale’s room was from now on.
We went up and explained why we were late and took our seat at the back of the class and we weren’t the only ones who were late, about 8 other people came in after us. Ms. McHale gave out our locker keys and our journals, and we were all excited because we couldn’t wait to find out where our lockers were. It was coming up to 10.15am so we all just looked at our new journals and started filling in our timetables when we got the list that said what classes we had on each day.
The bell rang we all went to our lockers; I found that my locker was a top locker and I didn’t want a top locker because I couldn’t reach it. Rachel had a bottom locker and so we ended up switching, she was fine with having a top locker. I put the books that I didn’t need into my new locker and kept the ones I did need. I then met up with Amanda, Rachel, Kirsten and Blessing in the games room and we ate our lunch there. When the bell rang we set off for our classes, I was in Geography straight after break. We didn’t really do anything except get our summer exams back and look over the answers.
The rest of the day went really quickly and we didn’t really do a lot but talk and look over our summer exam. The school day ended and I only got home work in like 1 subject so I was happy with that. When I got to the traffic lights, Brian was there because he had said that he would walk me home on Tuesday and Thursday because he wasn’t in school until Friday.
I don’t know why but I really like Brian walking me home. He said he likes walking me home so whenever he’s off early he always walks me home. When I got home, Brian came in for a few minutes and was talking to Dean about his first day of school and then about 10 minutes later he left. I talked to my mam about my first day back, Dean told me how his first day was, I showed my mam my timetable and my new journal and then I went upstairs and did my homework.

Today was my last day of summer because tomorrow I would be starting my very first day of 6th year. I was and I wasn’t looking forward to it. I wasn’t because I really didn’t want to do my Leaving Cert next year and the thought of it was actually sickening. I was because I couldn’t wait to see all my friends and teachers again. I said to everyone that I wasn’t going to come out today because I wanted to get all my stuff ready and do my hair and have a shower and things.
I sorted my new schoolbag out and put in most of my books but not all of them because we wouldn’t be doing any work on the very first day of school. I was actually really looking forward to going back and getting back into a routine. I decided to clean my room today and not just make my bed and put all my cd’s back into their cases, I mean like clean underneath my bed because there was 70% clutter underneath it. My mam told me clean room, clean mind and I needed that this year and shouldn’t have to worry about tidying my room coming up to my Leaving certificate. It took me hours to do going through make-up in bags in bigger bags and I threw out loads because most of my stuff I was just keeping it for the sake of keeping it. I found loads of things that I could use for my studying. I put everything I found useful into my red basket and put it in under my mirror counter and had the equivalent to 3 baskets full. I was sorted for supplies for my Leaving Certificate and most of my college education :L
My mam had said that I could use the playroom for my studying room, so Dean had cleaned the whole room and moved the bed over to the left side of the room so there would be enough room to fit the desk my parents are buying for me for my Leaving Certificate. Then my plan was to take down everything on the walls and put up study cards etc. I am trying to make it really easy for me to learn things this year because I get distracted so easy so I thought that if I studied in a room with nothing in it but school stuff it would be better than studying in my room where I would get bored and watch television or listen to music.
When I was finished cleaning my room, I had a shower and washed my hair and then I dried my hair, soaked myself in lotions and painted my nails. I got my uniform out and made sure everything was ready for tomorrow. I then got into bed and tried to go to sleep but I found it hard because it was like the excitement you get on Christmas Eve where you can’t go to sleep because you’re too excited. Well I got that about school for some strange reason.

Today was the day that me and Brian were going into town with my family to go to the tall ships in town. The tall ships was an exhibition were loads of different tall ships from all over the world who were in Dublin for a few days and were leaving on Sunday so we said we would go in and see the ships depart.
We picked up Brian in his house at like 9.45am and 2then we set off for town. We parked in the car park in The Temple Bar and then we walked over to the River Liffey and walked up alongside it until we found the ships, the Gardai and the 2000 people gathered at the River Liffey. We found a good spot that we could see the ships as they sailed out towards the sea. There was big step thing that me, Dean and my mam stood on so we could see over everybody’s heads. We had a perfect view of the first ship that was leaving.
We were all enjoying ourselves and we were singing; to the music that was playing on the first ship, dancing and waving at the sailors that had climbed up the ship so they were standing on wooden beams about 30 feet in the air.
2 little boats that obviously work which were smaller than the ships but had most power than them were pulling the boats out into the middle of the River Liffey. We only saw about 2 ships going out because they took so long to get out of their docking station. We set off through the crowds and made our way across a bridge and up the other side of the River Liffey. There was too many people for my liking because there was thousands of people who were just like sheep following everyone else and there was hundreds of people with buggies.
The sun was beaming down and it was roasting. We went over to The St. John Ambulance to talk to one of the people who were in it. We were talking to him for ages and then he brought us over to the ambulance and he let me and Dean have a look inside. It was so cool because I had never been in an ambulance before and it was really cool to see what one looked like inside.
After we set off back to the car because it was really hot. We were all hungry and because if we left later, we wouldn’t get out of town because there was so many people. We drove to the McDonalds in Lucan where you go down a hill to it, not the one at Super Quinn. We all got food and dug in because we felt like we were withering away. After that we got ice creams and then head off home.
When we got home, we listened to some music in the sitting room and then my mam and went out to look at some houses, so Dean went in the kitchen on the internet and me and Brian played some games on the wii. It was so funny because he was so competitive, we were playing athletics, table tennis and many other games. We even went on the wii fit plus to see how much we weighed and see if we were overweight or a perfect weight. We found out that Brian was a little bit heavier than me, so I was pleased because no girl wants to be heavier than her boyfriend.
We then decided to go out for a while, we walked down to Tesco and got some food and then just sat somewhere for a little while and just talked and had some fun. We then headed back to my house because it was about 8pm and we were a bit peckish. I put on some chicken goujauns and some small pizzas and then me, Brian, my mam and dad sat in front of the television and watched a movie called “Volcano”. Brian texted his mam and asked her could she collect him at 11.15pm instead of 11pm because he wanted to see the end of the movie. The movie was really good and we all enjoyed it. Then Brian left. I had a really good day with him and my family all together.

Today I went out with my family to have a look in a few shops to try get some things for school. We went over to Maynooth and went into the € Shop and Heaton’s. In the € shop I got loads of stuff; 4 polka dot folders, 2 pink and white and 2 black and white, pack of 30 blue pens and 3 tip ex mouse’s. While I was looking on the shelves for some other things I could get for school I found something weird but cool; it was a mini blue recycle bin that had wheels and a lid that you could open and it was like a pencil/pen holder. I showed it to my family and my dad and Dean and they ended up getting some for themselves.
We then drove to Leixilip and went into Thuttles and I ended up getting my new pencil case in there, it was €2 and it was a nice purple furry one which I fell in love with so my mam bought it for me. We then went into the book shop and got some books for my brother and I got a nice A4 writing hardback which was cool because it was black with different colour smiley faces on it so my mam bought that for me too. Got to love moms <3
I went over to Brian’s house at like 4pm and we hung out in his kitchen for a bit listening to some old cd’s like Elton John and 70’s hits. His mam and dad thought it was funny that I was trying to make him dance to the sings that were about 40 years old. It worked though :P
At about 4.30/5pm Brian’s cousin Odeon arrived with his dad because he was going to be staying in Brian’s house for the night. He seemed nice and shy but he seemed really smart even though he was only about 12 years old. He went into Brian’s side room and started playing on the playstation. Brian’s mam and dad went out to the chipper to get some food for the 5 of us and while they were out, me and Brian went in and bonded with Odeon, to make sure he didn’t feel like he was on his own. When Brian’s parents came back, everyone but Odeon sat in the living room with our plates of food on our laps and watched The X Factor. I think Odeon was just having fun playing some of Alan’s playstation games.
Watching The X Factor with Brian’s parents was funny because they had a comment about every person that walked on the stage and Aiden made really bad, cheesy jokes which were funny. My dad the collected me at 11pm.

Today I was supposed to me going to Maynooth with my mam, Dean and Brian but he text me saying that he couldn’t so I just let Dean and my mam go and let them have a good day out. They left at like 11am and they went to buy bread and then drive to Maynooth and feed the ducks for a few hours. I decided to stay in the house and just chill out for a few hours. I watched television, went onto Facebook, YouTube and blogged for a bit.
When my mam texted me saying that she was leaving Maynooth, I locked up and walked down to Tesco to meet them and so my mam could come into Tesco and help me chose the colour of the hair dye that I was dying my hair with. I chose a really blonde colour with the hope that it would turn out a lighter colour that my own hair colour. It was only €5 so I thought it was worth it just to try it and if it turned out a mad colour I would have to just dye it dark brown again to make my hair look normal. I went home and I washed my hair and then my mam applied my dye while sitting in the conservatory. I then had a plastic bag on my head for about an hour and then I washed it out. I couldn’t really notice a colour change because your hair is always darker when you wash it because it’s wet. I went upstairs to dry it and I noticed a bit of a colour change. When my hair was dry I brought a mirror over to the window and looked at the sun shining off my hair, it was ginger, like proper ginger like Amanda’s hair. I thought it was cool because it looked nice in the sun. I was happy anyway J
At about 7pm my mam drove me up to Brian’s house but we saw him on the way; outside Andy’s house talking to Donal (Andy’s dad). I got out and then we walked back to Brian’s house so he could get money and then I think we walked down towards Tesco and hung out. Today I planned to go out to Brian, he knocked for me at about 3 or 4pm. My mam and dad had been out, talking to a few people on the road, at the other end of the road. She was talking to Julie, Helen and some other neighbours about dogs because we are actually thinking about getting a dog so she was looking at Helen’s little puppy.
Me and Brian walked up the road to see the dog too and then we walked down to Tesco, but when we walked past the entrance of my estate we saw Jessica, Meghan and their friends hanging out at the top of my road. I was shocked because I didn’t want them to know where I lived and I wondered how they found out or did they know all along or what?
I tried to forget about see1ing them and me and Brian went down to Tesco, got some food and hung out down there for most of the day. We just talked and hugged and kissed and just enjoyed being with each other again. The time flew which was bad because I wanted to spend every minute of every day with him. It was coming up to 10.30pm so me and Brian decided to go back to my estate.
We were going to walk onto my road and into my house but people were at the top of my road and I couldn’t see who they were but in my head I KNEW it was Jessica, Meghan and their friends. We decided to walk through my estate to the back of it to let them think I live down there. I didn’t want them to know that I lived at the top of the estate so I hopefully fooled them. Me and Brian sat in The Dale for about 20 minutes and were kind of hoping that Jessica and her friends had gone. At 11pm Brian walked me home but we didn’t walk through the estate in case they were still there so we walked along the Oldtown road and walked through the gate at the end of my road and made sure we didn’t make any noise just in case they heard but we didn’t see anyone so Brian just walked me to my door and made sure I went in and then he walked home.

Today Brian was coming home and I couldn’t wait. I have never been away from him for longer than 10 days and I felt terrible. The day had come though and I was texting him before and after he got on his plane home. He told me that he was going to be at home at about 2.30pm and he needed to unpack and everything so he said that he would meet me at the traffic lights at 4pm. While I was walking up towards the lights, I felt excited because I didn’t know what he was going to look like because I hadn’t seen him in ages. When I saw him, I instantly smiled and ran over to him and gave him the biggest hug EVER. He was clinging on to me and he just said “I missed you”.
He was black though, Brian has the type of skin that tans easily so he goes really tan. Not me though I have skin like my dad who was ginger so I burn. My mam is always giving out to me saying “Oh why don’t you lie in the sun and try get a colour on your legs?”, ever since I can remember I have always burned in the sun so I choose to sit under the shade. That doesn’t even matter sometimes, I mean I remember this one time that I went to Spain and I sat under and umbrella and I still got burned O.o
We walked in through St. Rapheals Manor and sat down for a few minutes and he told me all about his holiday and I told him about what was going on here at home while he was away. He then gave me my presents; a key-ring with the letter “L” on it and a lovely sparkly bracelet which I love. I was really appreciative because it was lovely to receive something like that from my boyfriend and the fact that he knew what to actually get me. He also got my mam and dad a fridge magnet and some can coolers. We then just hung out around Celbridge for the rest of the day and I wanted to know everything about his holiday and I couldn’t keep my hands off him and neither could he. I had to me kissing him, hugging him or holding his hand all the time :L
I was really glad to have him back with me where he belongs and I couldn’t believe actually that he was home because he had been away for so long. I really missed him and hated the fact of me being on my own for 2 and a half weeks but he was back home and I felt complete again because without him I am actually nothing. I am now sure that Brian is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with him.

Because of the rain from yesterday, me and Shane decided to go out today instead. We planned to go out at about 1pm but it was really bad outside because the rain was really bad. AGAIN! I was texting Shane and he said that he couldn’t come out at all because he was going to Galway with his dad, brother and his friends to look at a car. I didn’t mind and just said that we could go out later when he got back.
He got home at about 7.30 so I went out to him and Heidi and we walked around Celbridge and then we walked through St. Rapheals Manor because it was coming up to about 10.20pm so Shane started to walk me home. Today I had planned to go out to Shane and his dog Heidi in the evening but during the day I did absolutely nothing apart from the odd chore ordered by my mam every so often. I can remember where I was or what time it was when my mam told me something big. She came into wherever I was and said she booked a holiday for next year. We are going to Spain next year but she isn’t going to tell my dad until after Christmas which I think is mad because my mam just books holidays that my dad pays for so we will see how my dad takes the news. It would be nice to go to Spain again though :L
Coming up to about 8pm it started raining heavily and me and Shane just decided not to go out because we would’ve got drenched in the lashings of rain. My mam, my dad and Dean went up to the hot tub for about an hour and when they were coming back up to the house, they ran to try avoid the rain and it was really funny watching them from the kitchen.

Today I didn’t really do anything during the day because I was really tired. At about 6pm my parents went around to the boy’s primary school to collect Dean and bring him home. When he came in, he looked like he was on a camping trip in India rather than in County Meath because he looked shattered and like he had been swimming in a dirty river because he stunk :L
He came in and got something to eat and told us literally everything about the camping trip; the good things and the bad things. He was saying that how on the first night his bag got soaking wet because the rain got into his tent and wet his bag containing most of his clothes. He also said how the food was and what they actually did meaning the activitites they did and Dean said that for the boys there was no toilet but there was for the girls, understandable :P
But for the poor boys, they had to go toilet in a hole in the ground like in a poor county like Ethiopia. It was good to hear him speak of how good the trip was and see that he enjoyed himself and I enjoyed myself not having him around hahaha :L

Today me and Shane planned to go to Castletown again just for a nice walk because the sun was beaming and all we did was sit on the grass and talk about things like football, cars and music. He is so nice and I love him because I feel like I’ve know him years, he is so like me and I like that.

Today me and my mam had planned to go into town for a day out. She had told me a few days before that she was going to take me into town to let me try on some deb’s dresses. I really couldn’t wait even though my debs isn’t until next year but I was going to try some on just to see what they would look like on me and see what suited me and so I could see what I would look like in a ball gown. I was really excited because I have never tried on a dress like that before; like a floor-length one.
We set off at about 10 or 11am and we went to loads of shops and I tried on about 15 dresses. Some were puffy dresses like a princess dress and some were straight and all different colours. I was really enjoying it because if I have to say, some dresses looked lovely on me :P
There were some really lovely dresses that I loved and there was some that were lovely but didn’t look nice on me. I tried on a dress in Sugababe and it was a strapless, sparkly puffy (but no too puffy) royal blue dress. I loved it and it looked nice on me, only thing is that I couldn’t really breathe in it but these types of dresses are supposed to be tight to show off the girls figure. I wanted this dress because my favourite colour is blue and I loved the diamonds on the dress.
I was on such a high because I couldn’t wait until next year when I was really shopping for my debs because it only happens once and you HAVE to make sure that you are the best dresses girl there. Every little girl dreams of their debs dressing like a princess and dancing with her prince. That was my dream! It would be perfect, me dressed up to the nines with my hair, make-up and tan PERFECT and dancing with Brian in my lovely blue princess dress. I have waited about 13 years for the day to come and it was only next year and I just knew that because of the Leaving Certificate being next year, the year would fly.
When me and my mam were getting tired and hot, we set of to get something to eat in McDonald’s. I got a medium meal and my mam got a happy meal because we had a voucher which we got both meals for €3.80 instead of like €10.00. We ate and then left and we walked to Connelly train station because we were going to get the train to Maynooth and then get my dad to collect us from the train station in Maynooth. We were on the train for like 40 minutes and then we got off and waited for my dad to come and collect us. We got into the van with me in the back sitting on a tire and then we went to Tesco to get some things and then went home.

Today I think I just hung out with Rachel and Amanda in Katie’s house and we were having fun on the computer and talking and singing and dancing and just having a bit of girly time. Afterwards when me, Rachel and Amanda left we walked Rachel up to the boys primary school and then I walked Amanda home.

Today was the day where Dean was going on his camping trip. He joined the St. John Ambulance about 5 months ago and he was now going on a 4 day camping trip. This was a really big thing because it was his very first time being away from home longer than a day. During the early afternoon, my mam was trying to help Dean to pack his bag and showing him where things where. Dean had to bring a lot of things with him and had to fit everything in a camping bag. He had to bring knives, forks, plates, 4 full sets of clothes, sleeping bag, jumpers, jackets and much more but they all fit in the bag anyway which was good. He was looking forward to going and I was looking forward to being an only child for the next few days but I have to admit I was going to miss our daily fights.
At about 6pm we went around to Scoil Na Mainistreach and when we got there, there were only about 2 boys there. By the time everyone was there, we all went over and talked to the leaders and all the boys and girls did their actions when they’re relaxed and focused, I actually don’t know what they did, it reminded me of something they do in the army where the leader shouts something and they all sort of move. They all put their bags on the bus and everyone dressed in their uniforms got on the bus and set off. My dad took loads of pictures and then we went home. I could see that my parents were worried because it was the first time Dean had ever been away from home and he was their youngest child so they were on edge. My mam said that it wasn’t just because he was the youngest that they worried about him, she said that every time I go out like to my friends or to school or anywhere she worries because even though I’m 17, she still thinks of me as her baby so it doesn’t really matter what age you are, your parents will never stop worrying about you because you will always be their baby <3

Today my family had decided to go for a drive down to Wexford to see my great-aunts Berni and Patsy. We left at about 1 or 2pm and set off and we didn’t stop off in Jack White’s where we always go to have dinner on our way down to Wexford. We stopped off in a town before we went to Wexford and we fed the ducks for a little while which was really fun because every time we feed ducks, I always throw a full slice into the river and about 20 ducks just fly to try get it and it just looks so funny. That was fun and then we walked through the town and had a look in a few shops and then we decided to eat some food, so me and my dad walked back to the car and we drove up to the chipper where my mam and Dean where and we then drove back to the side of the river where we fed the ducks. We cracked open the bags of chips that my mam got and we all got sausages and rolls and crisps and bars and a can of coke. It was yummy and I really enjoyed it. We then set off for Wexford and about an hour later, we arrived in the house and they were delighted to see us. We sat down and were only going to stay there for an hour tops because my great-aunt Patsy was really tired because she was having chemotherapy due to her cancer.
We were all having fun and talking about our holiday and showed them the pictures and it was really nice to cheer up my aunties because they seemed really down due to Patsy’s cancer. 4 hours later we decided to leave because it was nearly 7pm and Patsy was going to go to bed. It was a really good day and I really enjoyed visiting them that day.

Today I planned to go out with Shane again and he was going to bring out his dog again. I met up with him and we walked down to Castletown and we had a nice long walk talking and bonding and just getting to know each other. I really enjoyed it because at one point when the sun was shining really brightly me, Shane and Heidi just lay on the grass and relaxed in the sun. All was going really good and we started to leave at like 5.30pm and we walked up towards Ballymakealy because Shane was going to football at 7pm. We were walking past Oak Leigh and Jessica Dennehy and her friends were there and we didn’t say anything we just walked past but all she and her friends did was shout abuse at us. We ignored it and walked past and he went into Ballymakealy and I walked on towards my house.
I heard her calling after me and then I heard her running towards me so I started to walk a little faster but she caught up to me and her other 2 friends followed and when I tried to ignore her, she grabbed my arm and stopped me from walking. Her 3 friends were surrounding me and started being really nasty to me and being really intimidating. Jessica then said that I have to stay away from her brother Eric because apparently I “threatened” him even though I don’t know what he looks like! I thought that if I agreed that the conversation would be over then but no, despite me saying that I would stay away from him even though I had never had a conversation with him ever, she reacted as if I said “No why should I?” She backed away from me and shouted “UHHHHH I’M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU LAUREN!!!” It was like I waved a red cloth in front of her face like a bull in a bullfight. I tried to sort of end the conversation but she grabbed me by the mouth and I could feel her finger sticking into my eye and she scraped my back against the wall. It was really sore and when she let me go, they started moving away so I started walking home and made sure not to cry and as they laughed their way back to Oak Leigh I walked home injured.
In the heat of the moment I rang the police to report the attack and they told me to go home and tell me parents and then go to the police station to make a statement. I went home and told my parents what happened and their faces said it all. They were shocked that their little girl just got bet up. They told me that it was wrong to get the police involved so they didn’t bring me down and we just forgot about the police. My parents were so angry and wanted to go up to Jessica’s house!!! I didn’t like that idea because I was unsure what her parents were like and maybe it would make the situation worse.
I was in my bedroom for a little while crying and cleaning my cuts and bruises; I had a black eye, a busted lip and scrapes all over my back. About an hour later my parents came to the conclusion that the 3 of us would go up to her house and have a talk with her parents. I was scared and when we got there, her step-dad answered the door and we told him what had happened and he had this look as if to say “Here we go again” as if he had already dealt with something like this before. I showed him my cuts and bruises and he looked really angry and said that he was going to drag Jessica home straight away and my parents stopped him and said that we didn’t want him to shout and give out to her but to talk to her in a calm way. He was really nice actually and understanding and my mam even said that he was very approachable.
I was proud of myself because despite Jessica pushing me and hurting me, I didn’t fight back or hit her back because I knew it would make the situation worse. If I hit her, I would just be as bad as her so I just took what she had to give me. But from now on I will just stay away from here and just forget about what happened.
I heard her calling after me and then I heard her running towards me so I started to walk a little faster but she caught up to me and her other 2 friends followed and when I tried to ignore her, she grabbed my arm and stopped me from walking. Her 3 friends were surrounding me and started being really nasty to me and being really intimidating. Jessica then said that I have to stay away from her brother Eric because apparently I “threatened” him even though I don’t know what he looks like! I thought that if I agreed that the conversation would be over then but no, despite me saying that I would stay away from him even though I had never had a conversation with him ever, she reacted as if I said “No why should I?” She backed away from me and shouted “UHHHHH I’M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU LAUREN!!!” It was like I waved a red cloth in front of her face like a bull in a bullfight. I tried to sort of end the conversation but she grabbed me by the mouth and I could feel her finger sticking into my eye and she scraped my back against the wall. It was really sore and when she let me go, they started moving away so I started walking home and made sure not to cry and as they laughed their way back to Oak Leigh I walked home injured.
In the heat of the moment I rang the police to report the attack and they told me to go home and tell me parents and then go to the police station to make a statement. I went home and told my parents what happened and their faces said it all. They were shocked that their little girl just got bet up. They told me that it was wrong to get the police involved so they didn’t bring me down and we just forgot about the police. My parents were so angry and wanted to go up to Jessica’s house!!! I didn’t like that idea because I was unsure what her parents were like and maybe it would make the situation worse.
I was in my bedroom for a little while crying and cleaning my cuts and bruises; I had a black eye, a busted lip and scrapes all over my back. About an hour later my parents came to the conclusion that the 3 of us would go up to her house and have a talk with her parents. I was scared and when we got there, her step-dad answered the door and we told him what had happened and he had this look as if to say “Here we go again” as if he had already dealt with something like this before. I showed him my cuts and bruises and he looked really angry and said that he was going to drag Jessica home straight away and my parents stopped him and said that we didn’t want him to shout and give out to her but to talk to her in a calm way. Today I had planned to go out with Shane again and just hang out because I really enjoyed hanging out with him the night before. We hung out and walked around Celbridge and I had fun getting to know him and just acting like best friends :P
A good few hours late and we were still hanging out and coming up to 10.30pm Shane said that he would drive me home because it was raining. I was excited because I had never been in the car with someone like my age before. Because it wasn’t time to go home just yet, Shane said that he would take me for a spin around Celbridge, so we drove past the boy’s primary school and down by Tesco and up to Salesians College and then he drove me home. I really enjoyed being in the car because I was comparing his driving to my driving and I can honestly say that I am a RUBBISH driver!!! :L

Today I think I went to Katie’s house with Rachel and Amanda and we stayed there for a few hours and then we all left and again me and Amanda walked Rachel half-way home and then I walked Amanda home. I don’t really like it when people want to/have to go home early because summer is nearly over and we have hardly seen each other over the summer because we all went away on holiday at different times and then Amanda was sick so she couldn’t come out. I went in at like 4pm and I was talking to my new friend Shane Egan and I thought he was really nice and I felt like I had known him for years. We decided to meet up and go for a walk with his dog Heidi. I met up with him outside Killadoon and we started walking down towards St. Patricks Park and then up by Spar and back up to Grattan Court. We ended up staying there for the rest of the night and just talked and got to know each other. I honestly did feel like we had been friends for years because I felt like I could talk to him about literally anything. He was really nice and I loved the way he was so shy and still funny and nice and I could see us being really good friends. At about 10.40 he even chose to walk me home because he said that a guy should never let a girl walk home alone whether he was going out with her or they were just friends. I thought that was nice and caring.

Today I think I hung out with Amanda, Rachel and Katie until about 5.30pm because they were all going to kickboxing but would be out afterwards. At 8pm I went to The Mill and collected them but Katie wasn’t there because Rachel and Amanda said that Katie injured her ankle and went home early. Me, Amanda, Rachel and Harry started to walk home up past St. Patrick’s Park and we sat down on the bench and waited for Amanda’s dad to collect us because Harry was complaining that he didn’t want to walk. When her dad dropped us home, me, Amanda and Rachel walked up to Katie’s house to see how she was after her incident, her ankle was all bandaged up and she was having her dinner so we just decided to leave. Rachel and Amanda were really tired and wanted to go home so me and Amanda walked Rachel half-way home and then I walked Amanda home and then I just went home.

Today I had to go to the hospital because I had an appointment. always hate going to there because my dentist Dr. O’Sullivan always has something bad to say about my teeth whether it be me not cleaning them properly or my teeth not being white. My mam went to the dentist about 8 months ago for the first time in about 25 years and her teeth are not white and the dentist said her teeth were perfect so I just thought about what her dentist said to her that your teeth don’t have to be white to be healthy. When we got there and my name was called she looked at my teeth and I was dreading the worst but she said that my teeth looked cleaner so I was pleased, she then took off my wires and put on new ones and then just told me that the gap in my teeth between my top and bottom teeth should be closed in a few months. It was a result!
When we left we set off for Arnots to get my uniform. I got 3 shirts and 6 pairs of socks. My mam was shocked because instead of my shirts being €22 each, they were €18 each and my socks used to be €9 for 2 pairs but my mam got them for €8 for 3 pairs. So when we got them we went to Marks and Spencer to get some things for Dean like trousers. We then went into Penny’s because I wanted to look for a jumper that I was going to get but they didn’t have it so I got some lovely new jeans instead for €11. A few more hours past and we had about 4 bags so we decided to get on a LUAS to The Sq and then we would look in more shops and my dad could collect us later on after work. When we got there we walked around looking in a few shops and then my mam was saying how there was an event in The Olympics on now and an Irish girl from Bray was competing to be the very first gold medallist in the first year of women’s boxing. When the match actually started there were about 200 people standing in the middle of the shopping centre looking up at a big plasma. We were all cheering her on and hoping that she would win. She did and everyone was cheering and clapping because she won the very first women’s boxing match in The Olympics. We then left and went to HMV and I got a new cd to go with 200 already. It was Taylor Swift “Fearless” I was happy because I liked about 6 songs on it and I couldn’t wait to get home and sing along to them in my bedroom. My mam got talking to the girl who worked there, talking about the new books “50 Shades” and the girl was saying how good they were and them my mam just said that she was going to buy the 3 books there and then. We then went to a few more shops looking for a new school bag for me. We went to at least 7 sports/bag shops and we couldn’t find any that were nice and still cheap. We then went into Sports Direct and I found a nice bag that was bigger than a normal school bag and it was nice and it was only €12. I really liked it because I would be able to fit more books in my bag and I was surprised at it only being €12. There was a blue one and a pink one but I got the blue one because blue is my favourite colour. After we decided we were done looking in shops, we went to McDonalds to get some food because we were all starving. I got my usual, a large chicken nugget meal with coke and curry sauce. Mmmmmmmmm :P We got some free glasses due to The Olympics and then when we were sitting there was 2 girls that were leaving and were also leaving they’re glasses they got and when we told them they gave them to us. So we had 5 Coca Cola glasses to bring home, my mam was pleased because she was running out of glasses because she keeps on breaking them :L
When we were finished eating and shopping we decided to go to a seat and sit down and wait for my dad to come and collect us. My mam and Dean decided to go into one more shop to look for runners for Dean for school, so I was left with the 8 bags. My dad came and then we all went to the car and drove home. When I got home I went to Katie’s house with Rachel and Amanda and we hung out and went on her computer until I went home at like 10.30pm.
