May 22nd 2012

Today was Sports Day in our school. We were allowed to wear our P.E. uniform to school and we had classes up until 12pm and then we had lunch at 12:00 untill 12:40 pm. During lunch everyone went out to the banks. There was a great atmosphere and everybody seemed very happy and it was sunny and the music was blaring. Me and Rachel, Katie and all of our friends found a spot on the top of the banks and we had a perfect view of all the activities that would be taking place  at Sports Day. We decided that would go over to the speakers where the music was so loud and we were jumping up and down and singing and dancing.

I was having such a good time and everyone was enjoying themselves and all the teachers were out with us as well. It was really hot and you wouldn't think it because it was cloudy but it was like having a hot hairdryer blowing in your face for the whole day. I went over to the tables that were selling food and drink. I got a bottle of coke and a bag of Haribo. Me and my friends didn't really want to take part in any of the activities, we would rather look at other people do them and just go around having fun, taking pictures and messing.

It's always better when the teachers take part as well. For the first time ever the teachers took part in the three-legged-race and all I can say is that they really went for it.

Also every year the teachers play rounders with the 6th years. I guess you could call it a St. Wolstan's tradition because they do it every year. Everybody goes down to the furthest pitch and sits down and cheers on the teachers. It's always so funny because the teachers really go for it and it's just really funny to see your teachers letting their hair down for a change.

Here's some pictures that were captured on Sports Day.
