May 15th 2012

On Wednesday I asked Mr. Corcoran if he needed anybody extra to help out with tonight's interviews. He was pleased that I volunteered and told me to be here at 6:30. We had to wear our uniform to it but I didn't mind. My dad drove me up to the school at about 6:20 and I went to the staff room and there was one other girl there and Mr. Corcoran was really happy to see us and he told us what we had to do first. He told us that when all the interviewers arrive at the school they will get some food and drink in the staff room and we had to get the food laid out on the table. There was a wide variety of sandwiches on big platters which we had to put onto plates. They was about 60 sandwiches  so we put 10 on each plate and tried to mix and match them. We also put a variety of biscuits onto a separate plate. After that Mr. Corcoran told us we had to get the rooms ready. Mr. Corcoran asked us who would like to be in charge of making sure that people are in the rooms and making sure people got here on time. I volunteered, so me and Louise were in charge. Louise was downstairs, I was upstairs.

We went to all of the rooms upstairs because they all needed to be done up. We pulled up the blinds, stacked all the tables and chairs up against the walls and left the rooms how Mr. Corcoran wanted them. We also made sure there was pens, paper and water on the tables. When we were happy with all the rooms, we went downstairs and started greeting interviewers and showed them to the staff room and then we hung out in the 2nd year year mall until it was time to bring the interviewers to their rooms. A little while later people started to arrive for their interviews and it was me and Louise's job to make sire that they knew what room they were going to.

I met up with Amanda and Alex when they arrived for their interviews and I started doing what Alex did on Tuesday night, talking to them and telling them that it would be fine and told them things they should do and shouldn't do. For the rest of the night it was just all making sure that people turned up for their interviews. Oriana didn't turn up for her interview though. Amanda waited till I was leaving and then her sister drove me home as well.
