Today I did nothing; I just caught up on some homework. I had to do my Irish oral sheet which I knew would take about 2 hours to do. I left that until after my dinner. We had our Sunday dinner and watched The Xtra factor and had a good laugh. I then went into the kitchen to make a start on my Irish Oral sheets.
About 2 hours later I had finished them, I was pleased because I had all my homework done and I didn’t have to worry about it on Monday morning.I fancied eating some jelly and ice cream while watching some television in my room. Me and Amanda had planned for her to come over to my house to do some homework together because I forgot some books. She came over at about 3pm and we went up to my new study room because I wanted to show it to her and then we sat down to do some homework but we ended up just talking. We talked for a good while and she was telling me what had happened on Friday and Saturday between her, Rachel and Katie. I was shocked because of how upset Amanda was getting, all I could do was listen and give her my opinion on what was going on.

September 1st 2012
Today I woke up and just relaxed for a few hours by lying on my bed watching some television and then I went downstairs to go on the Internet to check out my Facebook and then listen to some music on YouTube.
I was talking to Brian and he was saying that he was going out to his friends today because there was like a sports day thing going on in Grattan Court and he asked me to come up later so I went up at about 4pm.
When I went up I went over to the little green and there was about 100 people there, there was different parts of the green being occupied by different games. There was football, egg-and-spoon race, wellie throw, javelin, water bottle race and 2much more and there was a barbeque. When I went over to Brian’s friend they said he was in his house, so I went and got him and we walked back and sat on the grass and watched all the activities going on.
Me and Brian then went over to Andy’s dad Donal and his dog “Darcy”, who is so adorable and we look after her for a few minutes while Donal went down to Spar. Brian got me a burger which was really nice and I gave some of the bun to Darcy and she loved it :P
It was a good day all and all and after the sports day was over me and Brian went into Brian’s house. Me and Brian went down with his mam to Macarri’s down near Celbridge House because we were getting a take away. I got a battered sausage and about 4 chips which was enough for me. We all sat in front of the television and ate our dinner while watching The X factor and had a laugh and the people how thought they were amazing singers but they were CRAP!!!!
After it was over me, Brian and his dad watched a movie called Idiocracy, and we all thought it was going to be funny but it was just stupid really. You know when a movie is rubbish when they try too hard to be funny and it ends up just being annoying. I then got my dad to collect me at 11pm.

Today was Friday! YES!! Weekend time which means sleep. When I went into school I thought I had ECDL first class but then I discovered that I didn’t have ECDL as a class this year so I didn’t know where I had to be, so I scurried around asking people what class they where in so I could find out where I was supposed to be. I was in Biology…………..great L
At 11.20 I had P.E which was handy because I had Home Ec. Before so when it was over I only had to walk a little but until I got to the changing rooms instead of getting stuck in the traffic upstairs. This year instead of having Ms. O’Callaghan we had Mr. Lawlor. P.E was actually fun because instead of “working out”, we played the game where it’s a team effort for one person to try get a skateboard attached to a long piece across to the other side of the hall without touching the ground and then pull everyone else on the team across and they can’t touch the ground and the team who gets all their team mates across the fastest wins.
After that game was finished we all stood on 3 benches and we played a game which meant that the person at the very end had to make their way to the top of the bench without going on the ground which was really hard because we basically had to hug each person and then turn around to switch places. It was funny because people kept on falling. :L
The rest of the day went by quickly and it was a great craic at lunch with Amanda, Rachel and Katie like every other day. After school was over Brian called me and wanted to know if I wanted him to walk me home. I said “Yea go on!” He was off early so I thought he may as well :P
At 7pm I went out to Brian’s estate and hung out with his friends for the night and I loved ti because it was really funny. The guys played some football and then I ended up getting involved and the aim of the game was to try getting the ball off each other by kicking, tripping and pushing. It was so funny because when I got the ball I was running and screaming and everybody was laughing at me but I didn’t care I was having fun. All the lads went after each other and they were tackling each other and sliding under people to trip them up and it just looked like footballers sliding around in muck on a field. That lasted about 1 hour and then people started getting sore because they had fallen so much :L
It was getting a bit dark and we started to play “duck duck goose” which we didn’t play for long because we found it boring. All the lads recommended “Stuck in the mud”. It was so funny because it was dark which made it harder and there was people sliding all over the place trying to free the ones who were caught. Craig at one stage had to go through 3 of us in a row to free us all and I couldn’t stop laughing maybe that why I kept getting caught :P

Today was Thursday and I didn’t want it to be Thursday because on Tuesday when I received my timetable I was horrified at the fact that on Thursday’s I have DOUBLE IRISH!!!! The thought of actually doing 2 classes of Irish in the one day was sickening and I was dreading going to the class. When the time came, me and Amanda got a table at the back but our teacher; Ms. O’Connell said that on Friday we would be sitting up the front. Could things get any worse? That would mean we would be sitting right under her nose. YAY!!!!
The rest of the day was fine and after school Brian was there to collect me again which was cool. When I got home, my mam asked me to make Dean 2 time tables like mine because mine were just so cool :3 Again I did one for Dean which was a bit bigger than mine so he could understand it better. I made a plain one for my mam so she now had me and Dean’s timetable, so she would know where we were during the day and if she needed to collect us early she would know what class we were in.
Dean had different colour folder to go with different subjects so when he went to his locker looking for his Irish books, he would know that it was the Red folder, so I made sure that I made the subjects on his timetable the same colour of his folder to make it just that bit easier for him. He really liked it and my mam gave him some blue tack that he could stick it to his locker with.
The rest of the day was fine and after school Brian was there to collect me again which was cool. Today I wasn’t in school but Dean was so I chose to go up to Dean’s new school with him and my mam when she was driving him to school at 8.30am. Then we left and went back home and I went up to my room to relax because I still wasn’t used to getting up this early. I watched television and listened to some music for a little while and then I went downstairs to go onto the internet. I was texting Brian and asked him whether he wanted to come out but he said that he was going to visit his grand-dad and go shopping for some things for school including a new schoolbag and some trousers.
He said that he would text me when he was on his way home so that while he was on his way home, I could be getting ready. My dad dropped me up to his house at about 6pm and I went. I brought over the movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I. Me and Brian watched this before but he didn’t get to see the end of it so I thought we could watch the whole movie that night.
We watched the entire movie in full and then we tried to play some cd’s that I brought over on the playstation but they wouldn’t work so we went into the sitting room because his mam and dad were in the kitchen with the guy who was trying to fix their computer. We were having fun singing and dancing and then at about 9.20 Brian’s dad came in and put on a movie he thought we would like. Today I woke up at about 7.30am and got ready for school and made sure I looked really nice by doing my make-up really pretty and making sure my hair looked nice. I also made sure that my shirt and tie were properly done because I didn’t want to get in trouble on the very first day of school; I wanted to make a good impression to the first years on their very first day of secondary school.
My dad drove me to school and I went into the courtyard and just sat and talked to Shóna; a girl who was in 6th year last year and was repeating it this year. We spoke from about 8.30 – 8.50am and then I met up with Alex and Aoife and then we made our way up to the 2nd year mall because we were going to have an assembly. I sat at a table with Amanda, Rachel, Kirsten and Shóna and all the other 6th years sat down and Ms. Watson started to speak. She welcomed us all back and gave us a sort of idea of how 6th year will go. She spoke for a while and then Mr Kerrigan said a few words about a committee which he had set up to prevent bullying and then Ms. Watson said where we had to go after she had finished.
Me, Amanda, Alex and a few other people went to room 24 because that was where our base class had to go but when we got there, we knew that we weren’t supposed to be there so we went to room 2 because we figured out what we had to go to our English class, but when we went there, there was already people in there, so we thought it best if we just went to the staff room and asked where did we have to go. Mr Kerrigan told us room 30 was where Ms. McHale’s room was from now on.
We went up and explained why we were late and took our seat at the back of the class and we weren’t the only ones who were late, about 8 other people came in after us. Ms. McHale gave out our locker keys and our journals, and we were all excited because we couldn’t wait to find out where our lockers were. It was coming up to 10.15am so we all just looked at our new journals and started filling in our timetables when we got the list that said what classes we had on each day.
The bell rang we all went to our lockers; I found that my locker was a top locker and I didn’t want a top locker because I couldn’t reach it. Rachel had a bottom locker and so we ended up switching, she was fine with having a top locker. I put the books that I didn’t need into my new locker and kept the ones I did need. I then met up with Amanda, Rachel, Kirsten and Blessing in the games room and we ate our lunch there. When the bell rang we set off for our classes, I was in Geography straight after break. We didn’t really do anything except get our summer exams back and look over the answers.
The rest of the day went really quickly and we didn’t really do a lot but talk and look over our summer exam. The school day ended and I only got home work in like 1 subject so I was happy with that. Today was my last day of summer because tomorrow I would be starting my very first day of 6th year. I was and I wasn’t looking forward to it. I wasn’t because I really didn’t want to do my Leaving Cert next year and the thought of it was actually sickening. I was because I couldn’t wait to see all my friends and teachers again. I said to everyone that I wasn’t going to come out today because I wanted to get all my stuff ready and do my hair and have a shower and things.
I sorted my new schoolbag out and put in most of my books but not all of them because we wouldn’t be doing any work on the very first day of school. I was actually really looking forward to going back and getting back into a routine. I decided to clean my room today and not just make my bed and put all my cd’s back into their cases, I mean like clean underneath my bed because there was 70% clutter underneath it. My mam told me clean room, clean mind and I needed that this year and shouldn’t have to worry about tidying my room coming up to my Leaving certificate. It took me hours to do going through make-up in bags in bigger bags and I threw out loads because most of my stuff I was just keeping it for the sake of keeping it. I found loads of things that I could use for my studying. I put everything I found useful into my red basket and put it in under my mirror counter and had the equivalent to 3 baskets full. I was sorted for supplies for my Leaving Certificate and most of my college education :L
My mam had said that I could use the playroom for my studying room, so Dean had cleaned the whole room and moved the bed over to the left side of the room so there would be enough room to fit the desk my parents are buying for me for my Leaving Certificate. Then my plan was to take down everything on the walls and put up study cards etc. I am trying to make it really easy for me to learn things this year because I get distracted so easy so I thought that if I studied in a room with nothing in it but school stuff it would be better than studying in my room where I would get bored and watch television or listen to music.
When I was finished cleaning my room, I had a shower and washed my hair and then I dried my hair, soaked myself in lotions and painted my nails. I got my uniform out and made sure everything was ready for tomorrow. I then got into bed and tried to go to sleep but I found it hard because it was like the excitement you get on Christmas Eve where you can’t go to sleep because you’re too excited. Well I got that about school for some strange reason.
