Today nothing really happened in school today, I just got a 15 mark question in geography, that's it really :D Pretty boring day.

November 6th 2012

Today I went to school and for some reason I was absolutely knackered and I don't know why, I mustn't have got much sleep the night before. Only a few things happened in school that I can remember. The high topic at the moment is the Children's Referendum which is about children getting more rights and blah blah blah, I don't really understand it but my mam and dad said that they were voting 'no'. In religion we watched some clip about a debate where people were going to be voting yes and why and where people were going to be voting no and why. I fell asleep, safe to say :L

In Home Economics, Ms. McArdle gave us back our journals so we could have one last look at them to make sure we were happy with everything and then they were all going to be put into an envelope and sent off to be corrected. I was pretty happy with mine and I just hoped that I got a high mark for it because I put my blood, sweat and tears into making that right.

Again at lunch time it was really funny as usual. I did my usual thing by making the other girls laugh and then Amanda must have said something because all I remember doing that lunch time was laughing my brain out.

Biology. Oh  yes!, now I remember :O We were going to be dissecting kidneys. We went into class and Me. Felle had invited us up to her table to see her dissect a kidney to show us how to do it. It was horrible to watch and they were like a giant jelly bean and squishy. Anyway me and Amanda got all our equipment set up and we were working with Clodagh and Sinead as well and neither of us wanted to touch the kidney. I took a scalpel and started cutting away at the kidney despite what Ms. Felle had told us to do. It wasn't as bad as the heart that me and Amanda had to dissect which STUNK!!!!!!! Anyway we dissected the kidney anyway which was better than doing theory I suppose. 

November 5th 2012

Today it was our first day back in school after our mid-term and we were all a bit gloomy because to be honest no one likes school. Nothing really happened in school today, we just went to our classes and then we went to our lunch room when the bell rang at 1.20pm. Usually lunch time is the best part of the day because you get to hang out with you friends and mess about and where we eat for lunch, hardly any teachers go in there. 

November 4th 2012

Today I had planned to go over to Amanda's house to do some homework because that is always our tradition that we do our homework in one of our houses on a Sunday afternoon. She came over to my house at about 2pm and she said that she wanted me to go with her to the house of some woman she knew to buy a ticket for some "girls night in" in some hotel in Leixilip. She told me that Rachel and Alex weren't going and she had asked Katie but she wasn't giving her a straight answer so she asked me whether I would like to go. I told her that I would have to ask my mam but I said "Yea" anyway :P

We walked over to Vanessa Lawns which is where the woman lived. Amanda bought two tickets at €5 each ad she said that she would give me 1 after I asked my mam could I go and if I couldn't, she would just give it to her mam. After that we walked back to my house and I asked my mam and she said I could go, I was happy. I got my bag from upstairs and then me and Amanda headed off to her house.

We started our homework and a few hours later, we got bored so she brought in her web-book and we listened to some songs and then we started to sing and dance and mess about. We then started to make some videos of me dancing mad for the rest of the night and then I went home at about 10pm.

November 3rd 2012

Today I asked Brian whether he could come outside and he said that he could for a little while. He knocked for me at about 4pm and we started walking back up towards his house but when we go up near my school, he turned around and said that his mam told him that no one was allowed in the house. I was a bit pissed off if I'm being honest but we went up anyway. We ended up sitting in his porch just talking and listening to music and then he ended up bringing out a cup of tea for the both of us. He was telling me that his mam had banned from going to see some West Ham match that was being played in a pub in the village. I thought it was a bit petty because he had been grounded for 3 days now so I thought that she would've let him go down to the pub with his dad to watch a match and then come straight home.

We were sitting in his porch for about an hour or 2 and then his mam then came out and said that we could come in because dinner was ready. I thought it was nice and she didn't even ask me for dinner, she just assumed which means that I'm sort of part of the family now :P

We went in and ate the dinner in front of the television and just chilled for a bit listening to music and talking and then we went into the kitchen and Brian was showing me how to put songs onto my phone and he ended up putting loads on it because I had brought the wire with me so he filled my phone up with loads of songs so I was glad and I loved him for doing that because he honestly would do anything for me <3 LICKARSE!!!!! :P

November 2nd 2012

Today I asked Brian whether he wanted to come out and again he said that he was still grounded so again I asked did he want to come over to my house in the evening so he said he would anyway. His mam dropped him over at about 6pm and we all sat down and watched what was on the television and at about 9pm my mam decided to put on one of The Omen movies. I seen them before but not all of the movies because I was quiet young so this time I thought I would be brave and watch the whole movie. Me and Brian were sitting on the 3 seater with a blanket over us just in case I needed to shield my eyes. The movie was actually not that scary because it was made in the 70's so it was a bit funny to be honest. After that Brian went home at about 10pm again. 

November 1st 2012

Today I was talking to Brian and I asked him whether he wanted to come out with me but he said that he was still grounded so he said he wasn't allowed outside and no one was allowed into his house because his mam and dad were going to be out during the evening, but funnily enough he was allowed to come into my house. At about 5pm his mam dropped him over and he came in with a movie. My mam and dad were actually going out but Dean was staying at home so it was grand. Me and Brian went into the kitchen and got some drinks and munchies and we went into the sitting room and I set up the movie and we relaxed on the couch and watched it. I can't remember the name if it but it was a real "trying too hard to be funny" kind of Christmas movie so I didn't really like it but I left it on and about halfway through the movie, my parents arrived home and they sat down with us and watched the rest of the movie with us.

I don't think we did anything after that but because Brian was still grounded he was collected at 10pm instead of 11pm which was understandable. 

October 31st 2012

Today it was Halloween and I had planned to go out trick or treating with Amanda, her brother and cousins. I went over to her house at 5pm and I thought it was going to be me, her, Rachel and the kids but when I went over, Rachel wasn't there. I asked Amanda and she said her dad told her to come home because he wanted her to go trick or treating with her own brother and sister in her own estate rather than bringing someone else's kids around in a different estate, I thought that was weird but I didn't let that spoil the kids fun. All ready to go we all set off and we started knocking at peoples doors and the people were giving some sweets to the children, they were delighted with themselves as they were running around so excited.

Brian had texted me saying that he wasn't going out tonight because he was grounded because his mam had caught him walking out of the door with a bag full of alcohol. He was going to bring it out to his friends so that they could have a Halloween session. I was a bit sceptical about it because anything could've happened and especially on Halloween which is probably the worst night in the year to go out an drink with your friends. I was shocked that he could be so immature and steal drink from his family and try to sneak out and drink with his friends. I was also angry because I told him in the morning not to do it and he still went ahead and did it. I told him that me and Amanda would knock up to him to talk to him.

We continued to trick or treat around the estate for about hour and then when it was getting cold and the kids were getting tired we decided to head back. Me and Amanda helped the little kids to empty out their bags and sort their sweets. They were so hyper and running around like mad yokes, me and Amanda went up to here room after we stole a few of the kids sweets. I ended up putting on some Halloween make up and making my hair big so that I would look scary, we then left and started making our way up to Graatan Court. I was texting Alex asking her to come out and she said she didn't want to because it was too cold. Me and Amanda just looked at each other and laughed because it was only a little bit cold so she was obviously just lazy. We knocked for Rachel and then she came out and all 3 of us headed to Brian's house and he invited us in. We all sat down and he told us what had happened. I had no sympathy for him at all.

About 20 minutes later we left and headed down to Spar and we were just talking, laughing and messing. When we got there, we got some mini pizzas and just chilled for a bit. all was good and then we saw Emma Phelan and Tarryn Hand coming through the door. They were wearing the skimpiest, most revealing outfits I had ever seen. They walked around the shop and all me and my friends could do was just look at the little outfits in disgust, we chuckled a little. When they were at the counter paying for petrol or something the men that were behind the counter must have asked could they take a picture of Tarryn and Emma because they were posing in the most sluttiest way ever. Me and my friends just laughed under our breathe but as  they were walking out, they spotted me laughing and they shouted over "What are you laughing at Lauren?, at least we can go out looking like this, whereas you go out looking like that!"  As they left I broke out laughing because I couldn't care less what they had just said. I wouldn't ever go out looking like that because I don't want people to think I'm a slapper or easy.

Me and my friends just carried on with our pizzas and continued to laugh about what they were wearing. It was coming up to about 9.30pm and we decided to leave and walk Rachel back to her house and then Amanda called her dad to come and collect us because he leg was a bit sore. We then just went home and I was texting Brian and asking him what his mam said and what he did for the rest of the night. I wiped of my make-up, scraped my hair up into a bun and then hopped into bed and watched some of my soaps.

October 30th 2012

Today I was sitting on my couch watching the television and my mam was ironing. I was texting Alex, Amanda and Rachel and they were all asking me to go to town with them today for a girly day out. I asked my mam could I ,even though I didn't think that I would be going out today. I went up and got ready as quick as I could and left my house. I met up with Amanda at about 12.30pm and then we met up with Rachel and then we all walked down to the bus stop at Xtra Vision. The bus came about 10 minutes later and when we got on we all sat with Alex and Sarah who were already on the bus. Heading off to town we were all chatting away and having a good o'l laugh. About an hour later we arrived in town, Amanda and Rachel wanted to go to Apache Pizza and me, Sarah and Alex wanted to go to McDonald's so we arranged that when Amanda and Rachel were done, they would make their way to McDonald's and meet us there.

After they left to go get their pizza, me, Alex and Sarah made our way to McDonald's on O'Connell Street. I ordered first and while the others were waiting for theirs I said that I would go upstairs and try get a table because it looked as if the place was packed. I went up and got a seat and when Alex and Sarah joined me, Alex noticed that some people were leaving from their "saloon" seat so we ran over and sat down. Unraveling our food me and Alex noticed some Spanish people sitting near to us so me and her started talking in Spanish as you do. God knows what we were saying though, it was utter bollix but we were laughing and having a good time. We tucked into our large meals and giant cokes and relaxed. I was having a really good girly day out and it was well needed because Celbridge is so boring that a change of scenery was just what the doctor ordered :P  

When I was done eating, I headed down to the counter again and got myself a Smartie McFlury and when I came back upstairs, Amanda and Rachel were there so we all sat down and all of us talking and joking and me there eating my ice cream like a fat git :L When I was done we headed off to do a bit of window shopping. From Penny's to 40◦, we scoured through the shops and just having fun really and bonding. We then decided to go and try no some debs dresses, I was excited, I wanted to show them the royal blue dress that I so wanted for my big day but when we went into the shop, one of the workers said that we couldn't try on any dresses because the upstairs was closed. We headed off to Hickeys and me and Alex tried on some dresses. I tried on a coral colour straight dress and Alex tried on an evergreen colour straight dress and when we showed the others, they loved it and said that we looked really pretty. Over the next hour or so we went into other shops that sold debs dresses.

Alex said that her "boyfriend" Stephen was going to meet up with us in town after he was finished college at as the day progressed, me and Amanda came to the conclusion that he wasn't coming and Amanda's mood started to deteriorate a bit so I went over to talk to her. She was going on saying that Alex asked her to go to town so that we could all meet up with Stephen in the afternoon and that it was a big letdown and how she had no money to go town but still asked her mam. We decided that we were going to go home at that point because it was coming up to about 5.30pm. We walked over to the bus stop and while me, Rachel and Amanda were waiting there, Alex and Sarah went over to Centra to get a coffee. The 3 of us were just chatting away and then it was only another 5 minutes until Alex and Sarah rejoined us and then we got talking to Blessing and Rosette for a few minutes and then the bus came. We all got on and the bus was full so we were left standing which is always rubbish when your on your way home from town.

We were standing for most of the way home and then me and Alex sat on the stairs for about 10 minutes and as more people got off the bus we all ended up sitting near each other and then when we got off the bus, Brian was there!

The others said "hi" and then walked home and left me and Brian alone. We started walking up past Tesco and we were talking about what we did during the day. I had missed him despite it only being a day ago since I saw him but I thought it was a real nice thing for him to do, picking me up from the bus stop. We walked to my house and I went in and got my schoolbag, we then headed for Brian's house where we were going to do some homework. I then got collected at about 11pm. 

October 29th 2012

Today we were going to the cinema to see the new James Bond film, so we left at about 12pm and we went to Brian's house and picked him up and then we set off for Liffey Valley. We went in and as the movie started we all tucked into some of the food that we had brought. The movie was BRILLIANT. When we left we went to Vision Express because my mam had got her eyes tested a few weeks ago and she was picking up her new glasses. She had been using glasses from Penny's for the past year so my dad said that he would get her real reading glasses for Christmas. She got a pair of Karen Millan glasses and a pair of Guess glasses. She really liked them and she couldn't wait to wear them. 
We then went into Curry's PC World because my mama wanted to show me the laptop that she was thinking about getting me for Christmas. It was kind of a blood red Windows 8 HP laptop. I thought it was nice but I didn't like how there was no Start icon on the desktop but there was a type of slideshow of apps on the screen instead so my mam and dad were saying that I would just have to get used to it. My mam and dad got someone who worked there to come over and talk to us about it. After that my mam and dad brought him over to the Ipads because they were going to get Dean an Ipad for Christmas. My and Brian were just looking at the other laptops and then I came across another laptop which I liked, it was exactly the same as the one my mam showed me but instead of it being red, it was purple and it looked a lot nicer.

 
                      

When we were nearly an hour in the shop my mam and dad had decided that they were going to get the computer that I wanted and the Ipad there and then. They spent over €1000 because they got my laptop, Dean's Ipad and a cover for the Ipad. After that we all set off for home and Brian came back with us. We were all watching the television and my dad asked us if we were in the mood for Choys. He set off so and we all got the tables ready etc. When my dad came home with the food, we all tucked in and watched the television for the rest of the night and then Brian went home.

October 28th 2012

Today when I woke up my mam and dad told me and Dean that tomorrow we were going to the cinema to go see the new James Bond film. I was excited because I have never seen one before but apparently the new one was supposed to be brilliant. I went on Facebook and I was telling Brian that I was going to see it and my mam said "Why don't you ask Brian does it want to go too?" I was like "Can I?" and then she nodded. I could've jumped up and down and I asked him and he seemed happy and grateful, so I was talking to him about going down to Liffey Valley to get another ticket so I said that I would call him afterwards. Me and my dad went down to Liffey Valley and there was no problem with getting another ticket so when I got home I called Brian and told him the good news and he was happy, I told him that we would pick him up from his house in the morning.

I think I just went to his house later on in the day and did what we always do and then I went home. 

October 27th 2012

Today I went over to Katie’s house and Rachel and Amanda were already there. We spent a few hours on her laptop listening to music, taking photos and having fun and fooling around. When Katie went into her kitchen, Amanda told me that she was starving and before I had come over, her and Rachel had been there for 4 hours and Katie didn’t give them any food or drink. Whenever we ask her for some food and drink she always has an attitude. 

Whenever I have people over in my house, I always make sure that I give them food and drink and keep asking them every so often. Or what Amanda does is when she comes over to my house is that when I ask her does she want some food and she says “no” and we got to sit down in the kitchen, she then stands up and helps herself to my fridge and my cupboards! I don’t mind, she only does it because me and her are comfortable with each other. 

Anyway! Back to Katie’s house, I confronted Katie about the whole “Asking her for food and drink” thing. She started over-reacting and then me and her got into a massive fight. She told me that anytime that’s she gives us food, we don’t appreciate it! In all fairness she does give us food after we have begged her and threatened to go home and even when she gives us food, it’s like a few jellies or a bag of popcorn between us. 

Me and Katie were in the kitchen arguing while Amanda and Rachel went in the sitting room until me and Katie had sorted it out. Katie blew the whole thing out of proportion and started raising her voice to me and Rachel and Amanda came in incase we started killing each other. We then all decided to sit down at her table and talk to each other with an indoors voice. Me, Rachel and Amanda in turn told Katie how we felt and I said to her that when we tell her that she has dirt on her trousers or her hair is greasy; it’s only because we’re her friends and we want to look out for her and it would be better for her for her friends to tell her these things rather than a stranger who told her or worse; not telling her and spreading rumors saying that she was dirty or something. 

As we all started to calm down, we got talking and then Katie went into a story about her family I was really startled and rather upset when she was telling us. She said that her mam died when she was 11 years old due to alcohol and before she died her dad was having an affair with a woman called Sandra who is currently going out with Katie’s dad. Katie told us that her dad used to ask her mam to stop drinking but he never actually made her stop which he should have done being her husband. 

Katie got a bit emotional and was saying that she blames herself for her mam’s death. At this stage I was in tears. I was thinking to myself about how I would feel if my mam was dead. I can’t imagine my life without my mam, she’s my rock and the person who keeps me going and if she was taken away from me, I wouldn’t be able to go on with my life. I felt sorry for Katie because she has had to grow up with her mam and I feel so bad for taking advantage of my mam and I should appreciate her more because I will only notice when she’s gone how much I really love and miss her.

October 26th 2012

Today was our annual Halloween dress up day. Every year each year group get a theme and have the chance to walk in the small parade we have in the hall if they have a good costume. The 6th years had the theme of all things that are Harry Potter. I was wearing Brian’s shirt and jumper, 1 of my dad’s ties, my black skirt, white socks and black flat shoes.

I went into school and went to see my other friends were and they all said my outfit was really cool. When we were in English some people from T.Y. came in and took a picture of all the people who were dressed up. It was cool because Ms. McHale got in the picture too. Throughout the day we didn’t really do any work; we just had like fun and played games.

In P.E. Mr. Lawlor said we didn’t have to change into our tracksuits so we were playing like a game which involved having to throw a rubber ball into the basketball and then one by one your team mates get up on the bench and the first team with all their members on the bench wins. It was so funny because there were people running around in their costumes which made it funnier.

In maths, instead of doing the ordinary thing like looking at her doing questions on the board, we did a maths word search. Me and Aoife were helping each other and Ms. Kennan said that whoever gets all the words would get a bar of chocolate. We had about 2 minutes left in class and me and Aoife only needed about 4 words but we ran out of time.

In Irish, we weren’t really in the mood of doing actual work so Ms. O’Connell stuck on a bit of Aifric which we love because it means we don’t have to do any work. During lunch it was fun because we were all having fun and taking some pictures and then we went over to the hall to see the small parade; there was about 200 people on either side of the runway and at the top of the hall was about 6 teachers who were the judges. Each year group had about 6 people who each in turn made their way up to the judges table to show off their outfits.

In Spanish, Ms. Farrell put on a Spanish movie so we pulled down the blinds, turned the light off and we all sat in front of the board and watched the movie. We didn’t get to see the whole movie but it was a really good movie so I might ask her could I borrow it sometime.

In Geography, Ms Watson asked us did we want to either do some work or do a quiz. We obviously did the quiz so we got into groups of about 5 or 6 and there was about 4 rounds and with 8 questions in each. Some were geography related and some were History related. Our team actually did really well; we knew most of them and with the ones we guessed, we got right! It was really fun and some of the answers that people were giving were actually mad and even Ms. Watson was laughing.

When the bell rang everyone cheered because it was now our Mid-Term break which I was looking forward to because I had been so stressed with all the work that we had been doing so for a week I could relax and sleep longer and have fun.

October 25th 2012

Today when I went into school and went to see Mr. Corcoran because he told my mam last night at the parent-teacher meeting to get me to come to him the next day. I went to him and I was talking to about applying to colleges and he said that he would ring the college up and ask about what date I could apply to them. He told me to come back to his office at 2pm but I said that I had to leave at 1.20pm so he said “Yea that’s fine”. 

I headed off to class and I found out that Amanda wasn’t coming into school today. I was sad because she had left me once again on a Thursday which I hate because Thursdays are always the worst because there is Biology, double Irish and Home Economics. I was only on my own for Biology though because I was leaving during lunch because I had an appointment for my teeth.

In Spanish, Bebhinn got moved to the seat beside me because Ms. Farrell didn’t like the idea of Bebhinn and Anna sitting beside each other because they never stopped talking to each other. In Religion, our teacher; Ms. Guillfoyle decided to put on a Halloween clip on You Tube, we ended up looking at The Adams Family, but it was in black and white and it was like a comedy series. I didn’t like it so I just put my head on the table and slept.

In Careers, we went up to the computer room and went in and we had to do an online survey about our school. Ms. Barry and Ms. Smyth came in and told us to comment on how our experiences in secondary school have been. It only took about 15 minutes to do so when my class were done we all left to let another class go in and do theirs. Mr. Corcoran took us to room 20 for the rest of the class. He said a few things about the CAO and then he gave us all a book with all the courses that you have to apply for through the CAO, He told us to fill out a personal details page and then tick the courses that we were interested in. At the end of the class I also took one for Amanda.

After English, I went to my locker and then made my way down to Mr. Corcoran but when I was walking towards the stairs at room 23 I saw my mam’s car outside the school so I went to Mr. Corcoran’s room and he was chatting away to Mr. Kerrigan so I just said to him that I had to go now but I would go to him the following day, he was fine with it.

My mam brought me home and then my dad dropped my to the hospital, he didn’t come in with me, he went off and just waited for me to text him after I was finished. I went in and about 30 minutes after checking in, I was brought to room 7. Doctor O’Sullivan was looking at my teeth and took of the elastics and was just tightening the wire again. Just as she was finishing up she was saying that I need to come back in 6 weeks because I was going to be getting my braces taken off. I was in disbelief and was asking her loads of questions about it. I then left and made another appointment for the 22nnd of November 2012. I then got back in my dad’s van and told him the good news.
I was so happy because I was told that I would have my braces on for 4 years and I have only had them for 1½ years. I couldn’t wait to have nice, straight teeth. I also said that when I got my braces off I would get my teeth whitened. I just couldn’t wait to see what they looked like because before I got braces I had an overcrowded mouth with teeth growing literally everywhere but now they would be all lovely. 

October 24th 2012

Today in school while we were in Irish, we were all given a sheet with a story on it which we had to answer questions. Me and Amanda were helping each other with the questions. Our teacher Ms. O’Connell then asked Amanda what she was doing, and that she should be doing it in her copy because she would lose the sheet and she was sort of giving out to her. I didn’t really like the way she was talking down her nose to her, so I said to her “Ms, I did it on the sheet too because I wanted to keep it all together” and then she sort of gave me a look. I started to continue answering my questions and then a few other people like Grace and Bebhinn said that they too did their questions on the sheet too and then she said “Ohh okay”. 

Today was also the day of my parent-teacher meeting. I was going to it as well to help my mam and so was Amanda with her dad. The meeting was on from 3.20 – 6.00 but my mam and Amanda’s dad weren’t coming until about 4pm so after school me and Amanda went to the library to do some of our homework. At about 4pm me and Amanda made our way to the reception and my mam was there but Amanda’s dad wasn’t so me and my mam went in without her. 

I had never gone to a parent-teacher meeting in secondary school before and it was really weird because there were teachers sitting at desks against the walls of the whole hall. There were about 20 chairs in the middle of the hall; I don’t really know what the point of them was. There were about 150 parents there all queuing up at different tables waiting to see the teachers. My mam looked around the hall and I had it all planned out for her; like which teacher I wanted her to see first and so on. 


She went to my Biology teacher; Ms. Felle, first. She said that I was really nice but I should be focusing more on my work. I then went to Ms. Farrell who said that me and my mam looked alike. Classic! My mam then went to the rest of my teachers and I was talking with Amanda who was a bit nervous because her dad didn’t look too happy about what her teachers were saying. 

Amanda and her dad then left and about 20 minutes later me and my mam left. Overall all my teachers said that I was really nice but they all said that I have to focus on my studying. We went home and I got some dinner and then I went off to the get ready because I was going up to Brian’s house. My mam said that this would be my last Wednesday that I would be out because I needed to study. 

I got my dad to drop me over to his house at about 7pm and we started to do some of our homework. We did until about 8.30pm and then we decided to put on some music. I was telling Brian about my school dress up day on Friday and I asked him would I be allowed to borrow 1 of his white shirts and his school jumper, he said yes so he went upstairs and got them while I put on a song. 

For the rest of the night we were just listening to music and chatting to each other and then I went home at 10pm.

October 23th 2012

Today we had our retreat so we could wear what we wanted when we came into school. We went to the 2nd year mall where Mr. Kerrigan was taking the roll, we were then separated into 2 different groups which was what bus we would be on. I was on the bus with all of my friends and Ms. Watson was on our bus and we were going to Dublin. I was sitting with Alex on the way up and during the trip we munched on a packet of sweets that Rachel had brought along and we were all chatting away and then we were listening to some songs on Alex's phone and we were in our zone dancing like absolute maniacs and I was singing as if my life depended on it :L 

At one point me and Alex were singing a Rita Ora song and Ms. Watson turned around to see who was singing, we both broke out laughing and were so embarrassed but yet we continued to sing. HA!

We were nearly an hour on the bus and then we were all saying "Are we there yet?", Ms. Watson then turned around to me and Alex and said "I think we're lost!" Me and Alex started laughing and even Ms. Watson chuckled a bit. We all looked at the bus driver and I don't even think he knew where he was going.

We drove around for about another 20 minutes and we were all getting a bit fed up so Ms. Watson told the bus driver that if he didn't know where he was going, he had to go ask someone in whatever village we were in. We pulled in somewhere and while he got off the bus and asked a local person if he knew the retreat centre we were looking for was, Ms. Watson turned around to me and Alex and we all started talking about how the bus driver was foreign and that he obviously wouldn't know where he was going and that the bus company should've told organised for an Irish driver to drive us to the retreat centre. He eventually came back to the bus and said that the man didn't know either, we were all annoyed because we were on the bus for nearly 2 hours and we didn't have a clue where we were going well the driver didn't! Alex went on her phone and called some number asking for directions and she got a few directions and gave them to Ms. Watson and she wrote them down and gave them to the bus driver. About 5 minutes later he still didn't know where he was going so Amanda called a number which would give you directions to wherever you needed to go, she gave the phone to Ms. Watson and then she gave it to the bus driver and he couldn't understand what the person on the phone was saying. He didn't hang up the phone for about 5 minutes after he was done on the phone so when Amanda got her phone back it had cost her €8 and she wasn't happy. One of our friends; Rosette, came up to Ms. Watson and showed her a sort of gps app on her phone and as the bus moved, the icon moved on a virtual map so we just went by that and about 10 minutes later we finally arrived at the retreat center. 

We all got off the bus and were met by some people who worked there and Ms. Watson explained to them as to why we were late. We then all made our way into a big canteen area and we all were given a cup of tea and a packet of Oreo's. We just relaxed for a few minutes and then me and Alex went to the toilet and when we came back people were making their way to another room. We all sat down and the people that worked there gave a little speech and then they said that we were going to play a game. We were all given a sheet of paper and a pen. The game clearly was that we had to run around and ask people whether did they anything on the sheet and the first 4 people done first, won. The type of things on the sheet were like; "can do Irish dancing and can juggle" We all hurried around asking people what they could do but then I just said that I would write anybody's name down for anything. I still didn't finish in the top 4. When our fun and games were over the volunteers looked at the sheets and then called out a persons name who was wrote down on it and they had to come up and prove that they could do that activity. 

It was really funny but I was shitting myself because I didn't want to go up and do something that someone wrote me down for. When it was all over I was happy that I didn't have to go up and do something stupid in front of all my classmates. We were then all given a number between 1-4 so me and my friends were going to be separated. I was put into a group with about 6 people that I don't really talk to so I was a bit uncomfortable about talking about myself in front of them. The volunteer that was in our group had a sheet with 6 questions on it that she wanted us to answer. We, each in turn told everyone our names, why our parents chose it, how many people there are in our families, what we would do if we won the lotto, what our hobbies are and what we are planning to do when we leave school. It was really interesting to hear about other peoples lives and I actually was okay talking about myself. 

We then left to have a break so I met back up with my friends and while munching on some food we were talking about what we did in our groups. About 15 minutes passed and we then went back into our groups and we were put into smaller groups of 2 so I was with Siobhan and we had to answer about 20 questions and when that was over we got a sheet which had more questions that we had to answer individually. I think we only wrote the answers on the sheet not to share with others but to reflect on our own lives. After that we all took a pillow and lay on the ground, all spread out while the woman closed all the curtains making the room dark and then as we were relaxed she started helping us meditate and doing that for 30 minutes was really relaxing but I think I got a bit too relaxed as about halfway through I just made a noise but I didn't realize that I was doing it. Everybody just sort of laughed and were wondering who it was but I just stayed still. 

When we were finished with our meditation session we left the room again and met up with our friends again and we sat in the big canteen area and we were given some chicken curry and rice in a bowl which was really nice. Served with a big glass of chilled water, everyone tucked in. We had about a 40 minute break this time so when we were finished our chicken curry, me and my friends headed over to the mini shop in the retreat centre but all they sold was religious stuff. We were hanging around in the reception area and we decided to take a picture with a few other people and then Ms. Watson came over and took the picture of us all and then the receptionist came over and said he would take a picture of us all with Ms. Watson and she laughed and then came over and took her position. Smiles all round :) 

                           

All of us headed back into the room where we played the games that morning and there was about 60 chairs in a massive circle so we all took one and then one of the volunteers told us what game we would be playing now. We were all given a name of a fruit out of apple, banana and pear and when a person was in the middle they would call out a fruit and all the apples would have to run around and race to another chair and the person without a chair would be "on" and would call out another fruit and so on. If the person that was on called out "fruit bowl" then everyone would have to get out of their seats and run around looking for another empty chair which was really funny because people were wrestling to get to an empty seat and some people fell because everyone was hyper! On the last call I was sitting on a seat so I was safe, but Niamh O'Reilly was runny towards a chair and she turned around to sit on it so fast that she went flying backwards in the chair. She was okay but everyone including me were pissing ourselves laughing because no matter if we're taking part in activities on retreats or doing P.E., Niamh ALWAYS gets hurt or falls over. Everyone was laughing for about 5 full minutes and then when the laughter was deteriorating, I was sitting beside Bebhinn and we were crying because it was so funny. 

We all said goodbye and went to the toilet and Ms. Watson was surprised that we were all out on time because usually people are trailing behind but seeing as we are just the best year group ever, we were on time. We made our way back to Celbridge and this time we knew where we were going. Me and Alex were sitting at the front and Ms. Watson was sitting beside us and yet again me and Alex were singing and kind of dancing despite our year head being beside us. It only took an hour on the bus this time because our bus driver had discovered how to get us home while we were inside the retreat center  We were driving over a bridge and me and Alex saw an army truck driving underneath the bridge and there was a guy all dressed in the army costume and I called out "Get your top off!" ME and Alex looked at each other and broke out laughing and I could hear Ms. Watson laugh and say "Ohhh Lauren" I couldn't stop laughing and for the rest of the journey home me and Alex were just messing. 

When we got to Celbridge, the bus driver stopped at Tesco and let some people off and then we headed for our school and when we arrived it was 3.45 so Ms. Watson said we all had to go into the school and wait until 4pm but me and Amanda weren't having that so when we got off the bus Ms. Watson was still on the bus, making sure people didn't forget anything, me and Amanda jumped into her car and shut the door tight so Ms. Watson thought that we had already gone into the school. As we were driving out of the car park Ms. Watson saw into the car and whether she saw us I don't know but me and Amanda broke out laughing. It was a really good day and I enjoyed myself.

October 22nd 2012

Today in Home Economics, Ms. McArdle was out so we had a free double class. Amanda was out that day which I was sad about because I had a free double Home economics class on my own because Ms. McArdle was out. I just did some of my homework and then I actually fell asleep for about 15 minutes. 

Throughout the day, I had people ask me about my ring that Brian had given me on our 1 year anniversary; they all thought it was really pretty and it was a really sweet thing for Brian to get me. 

The rest of the day was fine really, I had an Irish test and at lunch it was a good laugh as always. In Religion me, Alex and Aoife gave our presentation to the whole class on Ellen DeGeneres and I thought I did really well considering I don’t like talking in front of the class anyway.

October 21st 2012

Today I had planned to go over to Amanda’s house to do some of our homework. I went over at about 1pm and we did our Biology and English h homework and then I left at about 3pm because some of her extended family were coming over. I went home to get some food and then I went and got ready because I was going to Brian’s house. 

Today I also planned to go over to Brian’s house to do homework. I decided to play a prank on him; I told him that I would be over at his house at about 4pm but then as I was leaving I said that I couldn’t go over any more because my mam said I had to do something. That was a complete lie. When he texted me saying how sad he was that I wasn’t coming over, all I could do was laugh. As I walked slowly to his house, I made him think I was at home watching television but I was really outside his front door. 

I rang the bell and when he answered it, he laughed and pulled me close and said “You little liar”. I thought it was funny and then we went in to his kitchen and started doing our homework. We spent about 3 hours doing our homework and then we decided to stop and go on the computer. We just spent the rest of the night listening to music and having fun and messing. My dad collected me at 10pm.

October 20th 2012

Today me and Brian had planned to go over to Alex’s house. She had asked me and Brian to come over because she was inviting a guy up so we could have a sort of double date. His name was Stephen and he was 19 and works in a bar in Dublin. He was coming over at about 4pm and me and Brian went over at about 3.30pm. The 3 of us sat in her sitting room and chatted while we waited for him to arrive. While Alex went out to her kitchen to get some drinks, I was playing with Benny and I was rubbing his back and then he just turned around and bit me on my lip. I pulled away immediately and went to the bathroom. 

My lip or to be more precise; the skin around my lip, was gushing with blood and no matter how many times I put a bit of tissue against the cut, it wouldn’t stop. I went in and showed Alex and she was so angry at her dog that she hit him on his nose and put him out the back. She came over and gave me a hug and then we went back into the side room. 

We then poured the drinks out and sat down and started chatting again and just waited for Stephen. He then texted Alex and said that he was on the road. Me and Alex ran towards the window to get a look and Brian just started laughing. 

He came in and we all greeted him and we all sat down and then Brian put on the movie that he had brought over. All four of us were sitting on the couch and as the movie started all I could see out of the corner of my eye was Stephen with his arm around Alex. I thought to myself “The child isn’t even in the house 20 minutes and already his arm was around her”. 

All throughout the movie, I kept glancing over to Alex to see if she was okay and every time I looked over Stephen had his arm around you or was stroking her leg or kissing her. I liked Stephen, he seemed to be very caring and funny but he was nearly 7 foot tall or that’s what we thought he was. 

Alex then went out to put on some pizzas which was good because I was 

starting to get a bit hungry. About 20 minutes later she went out to get them and put them on a plate. The movie was now over so we put on some music. We tucked in to the plate of pizza slices; some with ham and some with cheese and tomato. They were yummy and then I accidently knocked over a glass that was on the floor. Me and Alex rushed into her kitchen to get some kitchen roll. While Alex was getting the kitchen roll, she told her mam what happened to me. She looked so shocked and was asking me was I okay and stuff. I was fine it was just a little scrape. I’ll live!

We both went back into her side room to Stephen and Brian who were talking about cars or something; whatever guys talk about! We were all laughing and chatting and it was nice to see Alex happy with a guy and it was like we were having like a couples night and then Stephen’s dad called him and said that he needs to go home because he had work soon. So Alex’s mam, dropped Stephen up to the top of the estate where his dad was collecting him. Alex went too. 

Me and Brian were just watching television while they were out and then Brian ended up lying on top of me on Alex’s mat on the floor in front of the fire. It was so lovely and it was like something out of a movie and then Brian just got heavy so we moved back to the couch. After Alex got back, it was about 10minutes later when me and Brian decided to leave. I had my dad collect us and bring us home. He actually brought us to Macarri’s and I got some food for me and Brian. We then went home and ate it in front of the television and just relaxed for the night

October 19th 2012

Today was me and Brian’s 1 year anniversary. After school Brian had planned to take me out for a meal in Michelangelo’s to celebrate the last year that we have been together. I couldn’t wait and I knew it was going to be a good night. Amanda’s dad gave me a lift this morning and I went to school with a spring in my step and I was in a happy mood and as I told people, they all thought it was so cute that we had been together for that long.

Today in Home Economics we got our journal’s back to correct our mistakes. I didn’t have that many mistakes to correct which I was happy about. In P.E. we were outside and Amanda obviously couldn’t do it so she sat in the hall while everyone else went outside to the tennis courts, except for Norma. Me and Alex were a bit sceptical about it because Norma and Amanda weren’t talking so I didn’t really want them to be together on their own because me and Alex both agreed that we didn’t like how Norma was treating Amanda.

We left them anyway and went out and had P.E. and afterwards Amanda wasn’t talking to me because she thought I made a face at her and Norma after P.E. which I didn’t do but anyway I asked Alex to talk to her and get her to listen to reason. At lunch when I sat with Amanda, she wouldn’t talk to me at all and every time I spoke to her she would start a conversation with someone else. About 5 minutes later I stood up and walked out because I was really upset. I went to my locker and tried to spend the whole of my lunch break anywhere else but in that room.

I walked past Mr. Kerrigan and he stopped me because I was sobbing my heart out. He told me that he wanted to talk to me anyway because a couple of days ago everyone had to fill out a little bully slip and he told me my name had come up 4 times. That meant that 4 people wrote on the slips that I was being bullied. I was surprised and he said that he didn’t know who wrote them because they were anonymous.

I went over towards his office anyway and I met Alex on the way and she came in with me and stayed with me. I told her what was going on and how I felt and she was hugging me and telling me how she thought of the whole idea and she was really lovely. The last time that me and her had been in the meditation room together; we were fighting and saying that we didn’t want to be friends anymore and now we were inseparable.

When Mr. Kerrigan eventually came in he started talking to me and asking me was I being bullied and I said “No” but I told him what happened over the summer with me and Jessica and he looked so surprised and disgusted and he said that he would talk to Jessica. I then went on to talk to him about me and Amanda and what was going on and he told me that me and Amanda were such good friends and this would only make us stronger and that we would sort it out soon. We were in his office for about 30minutes and then the bell went and I went to my last class of the day which was Geography and Ms. Watson was out so we had a free class so I wasn’t really bothered doing anything so I just put my head on the desk and rested.

As I was walking home, I didn’t want to think about what happened between me and Amanda. All I could think about was that night; it was supposed to be a lovely night but I thought the whole atmosphere was ruined because of a stupid misunderstanding. When I went home I started to get ready because Brian was coming over at 7pm.

I straightened my hair and put on my make-up and got dressed and made myself all presentable for Brian. He came over at about 6.50pm and the first time I saw him was in my kitchen, I stood there smiling and his eyes just lit up. He was wearing black trousers, a black and white chequered shirt and his school shoes! HA I just laughed when he told me. He was leaning on his crutches and in his hand he was holding the biggest single rose I had ever seen. He gave it to me and I sniffed it and he kissed my forehead which I thought was sweet. He said that I looked gorgeous and I just blushed and in fairness he scrubbed up nice too.
                   
                      

Our table was booked for 7.30pm so we went into the sitting room to take some pictures of me and Brian. At about 15 past seven my dad dropped me and Brian down to Michelangelo’s and we went in and the waiter brought us to a table in the centre of the room. There were people at every table but the room was kind of dimmed and there was a candle on each table. We both sat down and looked at the menu but we both already knew what we were going to order. Our waiter brought us over some bread, which was really nice and we had it also when we came here for my 17^th Birthday, and a jug of water. We just talked to each other for a few minutes and then the waiter came over and we ordered. I had Spaghetti Bolognese and Brian had Spaghetti Carbonara. We didn’t bother getting fizzy drinks because we had our water, so we said that we would get them with the dessert.

Brian then went to the toilet and then about 2 minutes after he returned, I went too. About 2 minutes later, our waiter came with our food. Both me and Brian’s meal came with garlic bread which was nice. We both tucked in and just spoke to each other about how the past year has been so traumatic and rocky and saying how the next year together would be a lot smoother. He looked at me for the whole night in awe which made me blush and we both kept saying “I love you” to each other for the whole night. I couldn’t believe that I had been going out with him for a year now, I mean I was in love with him so much I knew for definite that me and him would be together for ever <3

During our dinner we saw 2 women walk into the restaurant and as they walked past us, my heart sank. It was my Irish teacher; Ms. O’Connell and some other woman. She didn’t seem me when she walked to her table but about 15 minutes later when she had returned from the bathroom, she saw me, smiled and said “Hi Lauren”, she looked at both of us and walked away. I froze because it just doesn’t happen that often when you see your teacher outside of school and if you do, you don’t want them to see you in a fancy restaurant with your boyfriend all “lovey dovey”! 

The food was really nice and afterwards Brian ordered some profiteroles for us and we decided not to get some fizzy drinks, we just stuck to the water. The profiteroles were so nice and creamy. Afterwards we then started to head to the front desk; Brian paid the bill of a reasonable €25. We then went outside and started to walk up to Tesco, we went in and got some food and drinks and then Brian’s dad collected us at about 10pm and brought us back to Brian’s house.

When we got there, we went in to talk to his mam for a few minutes and showed her both of our rings, she thought mine was really pretty and she liked Brian’s too. We then went into the side room and sat down together and watched some television. Because we only got to Brian’s house at about 10.10pm I rang my dad and asked him whether I could stay in Brian’s house until 11.30pm because it was a special night, he said “Yes” so we were both happy.

For the rest of the night me and Brian just cuddled on the couch while watching some television and then we went into the kitchen to listen to some music. My dad then collected me and brought me home.

The whole night was so lovely and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was so nice of Brian to bring me out for our 1 year anniversary to a nice fancy restaurant. It really made the day even more special that my boyfriend really cares about me and I now know that he will never do anything to hurt me ever again!

Nothing really happened today apart from Amanda not coming in until lunch time, she had to get checked up after her accident. Ohh! And I had a Home Economics test on chapter 9 which I didn’t do too bad on :P

October 17th 2012

Today nothing really happened apart from having a Spanish test on Roleplay 5, I thought it was a bit hard and all I could do was my best. 
After school we had planned to go to Alex’s house to ring up some limo companies to inquire about our debs. Me and Amanda went over at about 5pm and Rachel got there at that time too. We all went in and sat down and started talking and messing. We rang up a few companies and inquired about limos, hummers and a party bus. 


After a few hours of ringing up different companies, we came to a decision to choose the party bus. It had come to about €30 per person which we thought was really good because our debs is in Tullamore which is about an hour and a half away so we want to be entertained on the journey. 
At about 7pm we went home, my dad collected me and Amanda and brought us home. 

October 16th 2012

Today I got a lift to school again by Amanda’s dad. I had a free maths class today and there wasn’t any work left for us so we just did our homework which was good because everyone likes free classes. In religion our class started showing their presentations to the class and I froze I was in a group with Alex and Aoife, we did our project on Ellen DeGeneres. Ms. Guillfoyle called on our group but Alex and Aoife weren’t in so we didn’t have to do ours today. I was glad because me personally I don’t like given speeches or talking in front of the class. There were also a lot of people out in class so only a few presentations were shown.

We also had a free English class as well but she left work, so I did that really quickly so I could start my other homework. In Spanish there was only about 5 of us so our teacher decided to put us in a circle and we did some oral work which meant that she would ask us questions in Spanish about ourselves, our family, our house, where we go to school etc.

After Spanish I raced upstairs to meet Amanda because I said that I would help her to get down to Home Economics but when I got up to her French class she wasn’t there. I decided just to go to Home Economics and when I walked into the classroom, she was there! She said that Clodagh helped her down; I thought I’d lost her! HA :P

In geography, we were doing some of the fieldwork and then we went back to the book after not looking at for about a month due to us working on our fieldwork. The rest of the day was fine really and then Amanda’s mam gave me a lift home.

October 15th 2012

Today Amanda’s dad gave me a lift to school. Today in geography I handed up my fieldwork, I had done every section apart from the “Gathering of information” which I found a little bit difficult so I just gave Ms. Watson what I did have. At about 12pm I was talking to Alex and she didn’t really look well and she said that she was going home.

After school I went over to Amanda’s house to do some homework. We managed to get a good bit of it done and I was texting people with my new free texts but I was noticing that my credit was still going down.

 I went home and showed my dad and he started ringing up loads of people trying to understand why my credit was going down. He went onto my internet and found that my phone had been on a website for about 3 days because when my mam and dad brought my phone to the phone shop on Saturday, the man in the shop had to go onto the internet to set up my free texts and he had left it on the internet.

I was really disappointed that I wasn’t able to get the money back but it was just so annoying that my dad was basically giving out to me because the internet was on, even though the man in the shop left it on. My dad was on the phone to a man who is in charge of peoples phones and he told them to knock off the internet on my phone permanently. I didn’t mind because I didn’t use it anyway.

I chose to not use any of my credit over the next month and only use the free texts.

October 14th 2012

Today Brian came over to my house and we went into the hot tub. Brian had only been in it once before and he loved it. We were in it for about an hour and then his mam called him at about 7pm and said that he had to come home for his dinner, so he asked his mam whether he could come back over afterwards. There was only one problem; my mam and dad were going out at about 8pm. When his mam came to collect Brian, me, Brian and my dad went out to talk to his mam to see what she thought about him coming back over after his dinner.

In the back of my head I knew that she wouldn’t allow Brian to come back over to my house without a parent being there. My dad explained to her what was going to be the plan for the night and then she just looked at me and Brian and we both said that nothing was going to happen and because Dean was going to be with us.

At about half 8 Brian came back over and we sat down and listened to music on the television and Dean was on the computer. Then after a little while we put on The X Factor and we all sat down to watch it and then we got bored so we decided to start messing by throwing cushions at each other. Then I was lying on the floor and Brian took 1 of my feet and Dean took the other one and they started dragging me across the floor.

It was a good night all together and I was really happy that Brian’s mam trusted us to be in a house together with no parents there.

October 13th 2012

Today my mam and dad were going to Liffey Valley to do some shopping and they took my phone with them to ask them about how I could set up free texts on my phone. I went over to Amanda’s house at about 3pm to do some homework together. My mam then knocked at Amanda’s door at about 4pm and she had my phone and was telling em what they said and the she told me that my dad had put €20 into my phone so I had free texts for a month. I was so happy because I had wanted free texts for ages and I was the only person in the world who didn’t have free texts.

While doing my homework all I could think about was being able to text my friends and Brian whenever I wanted and not have to wait until Dean was finished on the computer or beg my dad for his phone. I got most of my homework done and then I went home to get my dinner.

I then went up to Brian’s house at about 7pm and we just hung out for that night and we even went down to Spar which was different because usually we’re just sitting in his house for the whole night so it was nice to get out of his house for an hour or so. He did give out to me at one stage because he said that my phone hadn’t left my hand since I first saw him that day. Can you blame me, I was like a kid in a candy shop with my new guilty pleasure; FREE TEXTS!!!!!

October 12th 2012

Today during P.E. Amanda thought that there was a UCAS meeting on so I brought her upstairs after telling Mr. Lawlor where we would be. When we got to the computer room we found out that there was no meeting on so we had to walk all the way back down to the lift and back to the changing room. After P.E. I went back to the changing to get my bag and put it back into one of the P.E. lockers which I had rented for the day. The only problem was that I couldn’t fine the locker key ANYWHERE, I looked through my 3 bags and it was nowhere to be found so I had no choice but just leave it and carry my bag around with me for the rest of the day.

During lunch time, in the Games Room the teacher had left the internet on on the computer so we decided to go onto You Tube and listen to music and make our lunch time a little bit more fun. We put on loads of different songs in the charts and then me and a few others started dancing to Gangnam Style and everyone was laughing because we were so into it. :P

After school I met up with Amanda and she offered me a lift home so I hopped in. Her mam wanted to know whether it was okay with me if we went to Tesco, I said “Yes sure go on” While her mam went into Tesco, me and Amanda were chatting away and messing and laughing. We then went home and I went in and got some food and then watched some television.

I went over to Brian’s house at about 7pm and we planned to do some homework but when I went over Brian wanted to watch a match that was on the television so while he was watching it, I was doing some of my homework. Brian’s mam said that she was going over to her friends house for a few hours so I knew that this was the perfect time to show her that we could be mature and grown up.

Brian went in and put on a cheese and tomato pizza for the both of us and I couldn’t wait because it looked lovely. When it was finished I helped him take it out of the oven and I cut into 6 slices and put in onto a big plate and got some drinks and Brian brought them all inside. We stuck on some music and started blaring the music really loud. I got up and started dancing.

I looked out of the window and I saw 2 guys who were standing outside Brian’s garden and I started freaking because I thought that they were from Ballymakealy so I thought they were going to throw a brick through the window or something. A few minutes later we saw Brian’s neighbor Alex walking over to them and then we knew that they were Alex’s friends so our panic was over. Brian brought me into the kitchen and started kissing me and then he asked me “Do you want some ice cream?” We both got a bowl each with about 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and we sat on the couch and watched the television for the rest of the night and when his mam came back she was happy that we behaved ourselves. It was a good night overall, I enjoyed myself anyway.

October 11th 2012

Today was a very busy day. In the morning Amanda was texting me saying that she was leaving to go to school so I decided to go to the front door and help her with her bag and help her up to her locker but when I got to the door I could see Norma getting out of the car and if I’m honest, I was really jealous and I wanted it to be me helping her because I didn’t help her when she was upset straight after accident because Ms. Smyth forced me to go back to class. I just walked back into the school and went back to the corridor where my bag was. When Amanda and Norma came down to the same corridor I was curious as to why she wasn’t sitting with her friends, no she was sitting with Norma up near the art rooms which I didn’t like at all!

When me and Alex walked into room 5 for Religion, Roisín Power was about to sit in my seat so I went over and pulled out the chair as if I was about to sit down and she said “What are you doing?” I looked at her puzzled and said “This is MY seat, I sit here every time we are in this room” She looked at me disgusted but I just turned to Alex and started laughing at her. I didn’t understand why someone would try sit in your seat when they know that you have sat in that seat for the past year. 


In careers, Mr. Corcoran made us do an online quiz and it took for ages and even when the bell rang Mr. Corcoran made us stay and finish the quiz and when me, Amanda and Alex were finished we headed for our English room and I had Amanda’s bag but when I said that I needed to stop off my locker, Alex took Amanda’s bag and then when we all went into English and explained where we were Ms. McHale didn’t believe us! She went on a rant saying to the whole class “The only people who should be late is Amanda and whoever has her bag, NO ONE ELSE!!!!!” She was looking directly at me, I felt like going up to her and giving her a smack across the face.

fter class I went up and told her where I was and why I was late and I said that I would get a note from Mr. Corcoran and she said “No, it’s fine” and I said “No!, I will get one” and she said “Okay Lauren” As soon as I left the classroom I went down to look for Mr. Corcoran and I told him what happened and asked him could he write me a note and he said “No, I’ll just tell her inside” pointing towards the staff room. I said “Okay” feeling relieved that he would talk to her and I wouldn’t be in trouble anymore. 

During lunch I decided to go for a walk around the school and I walked past Jessica and her friends and she looked at me the same way she looked at me before she bet me up. She then said “I’m gonna fucking kill her!!!!!” I honestly thought she was talking about me and I was terrified so I stayed upstairs in the toilets for about 10 minutes and then I made my way back to the games room and there was a massive crowd of people up near the reception with teachers trying to keep everyone back away from the reception doors, I didn’t know what was going on so I just walked past and looking in reception and saw Jessica there sitting on a chair but shouting out the door and then I walked away and saw a girl called Nikeeta and her friends trying to hold her back because they had just been in a fight.

I went back into the Games Room, I asked what had happened and I think it was Amanda that told me that they had had a full on bitch fight right outside the Games Room and I had missed it but I didn’t care. Apparently Jessica started the fight by going up to Nikeeta and punching her in the face and then they were trying to punch each other and pulling each others hair and then Nikeeta spat in Jessica’s face which made her really angry. 


I’m not the type of person who gets into fights but I was a bit pleased that Jessica now knew what it was like to feel so small, even though Jessica didn’t spit on me I was still a bit glad that she got a taste of her own medicine. 
When all the fuss was over and we were in our last class which was Home Economics, I was talking to Amanda and I asked her if I could have a lift home. She said “No sorry, I’m giving Norma a lift” I just said “Okay” but inside I was fuming because I just don’t like Norma at ALL and the fact that she was giving her a lift home instead of the person who actually lives in her estate pushed my buttons a little. I just walked home. 


When I was on Facebook during the evening I was talking to loads of people out of my Geography class asking them things about our fieldwork, I was falling behind and was stuck with a few things so I was just asking them loads of questions so I could put all what they were saying together to put together my fieldwork together. 


My dad had also brought home a chipper which put me in a good mood because my favourite take-away EVER is a batter sausage and chips. I loved it and for the rest of the night I continued to talk to people and see what they said in their fieldwork but change it slightly to make it mine. 

October 10th 2012

Today was Amanda’s first day back in school after her accident. It was up to me, Alex, Rachel and Katie to look after her and bring around her schoolbag for her. We didn’t really see her that day though because she was being smothered by Norma which we didn’t like because Norma is such a sly bitch who thinks she is all that, when she really is just a skinny, white , sly malicious, cow!

Nothing really happened for the rest of the day apart from me going over to Brian’s house to do some homework and just stayed there until 10pm.

October 9th 2012

Today in Irish my teacher Ms. O'Connell said that I could move because a few days ago she had separated Oriana, Robyn and Aoife and moved Robyn to the seat behind where she normally sat and moved Oriana to beside me which meant that Oriana and Amanda switched places which means I had to sit beside “Plastic Wannabe” and I was separated from Amanda and I couldn't handle that because we are great together in Irish class; we help each other mostly. So I moved over into Robyn’s old seat where I would be beside Amanda so I was content.

In Religion there were only about 10 people in the class because there was a Careers talk about DCU and most of the class went so instead of doing something boring, Ms. Guillfoyle put on Educating Essex which is kind of about bullying but it's funny as well. I then lay on the table and then Alex just sort of lay on top of me and I couldn't stop laughing and then she kind of put all of her weight on me and then i had to tickle her to get her to get off me. While Ms. Guillfoyle was calling the roll and then when she said my name I put up my hand and then she moved over to she could see me and then while laughing said "What are you two doing?" We couldn't stop laughing.

Nothing really happened during the rest of the day apart from when I was in double Biology and Ms. Hughes came into the class and asked could she see me. I followed her to her office and I sat down and she asked me how I was getting on with my UCAS personal statement but I said that I was dropping out of UCAS because I didn't want to apply to the UK anymore because I could get a really good course over here which would be cheaper.
